30FPS? No thanks, come get me when it's 60.
It's a brutally fun side scrolling space shooter with one of the coolest mechanics I've seen in the genre. You play as a psychic being lost in space, and instead of piloting one single ship, you can possess and take control of pretty much anything you come across. Jumping from ship to ship mid-chaos, using their unique weapons and abilities against the rest of the fleet, feels fresh and incredibly satisfying.
A fun but not fantastically original shoot 'em up, that definitely can captivate if you surrender your will to the flow of gameplay.
2/10
Got stuck in infinite screen like 60% of the game several times.
Enemy Mind has a really clever main mechanic - You can take over any enemy ship. The game encourages you to constantly use this mechanic, as each ship only has a limited amount of ammo. I didn't get very far in the game, but the concept is unique and was enjoyable for the bit I played it.
Fantastic game. I've been playing it on and off for eight years, and I finally beat it. It's truly amazing what they were able to accomplish here. It's just so fun!
eh, not fun.
A shining beacon of fun gameplay from beginning to end, doesn't overstay its welcome and the art style is on point. I played it once as intended and then a couple more times with unlimited ammo; original gameplay is better for the challenge, unlimited for the sheer messy fun you can have once you find a ship you like and proceed to blast everything in sight. Highly recommended for everybody, absolutely essential if you like enemy-possession/vehicular-theft mechanics.
