The world as we know it is gone. Build a new home for the last human survivors on earth! Give them shelter and a house. Fulfill their basic needs with steady water and food supplies, educate them, ensure their survival and help them stay motivated with over 50 different buildings.
As the leader of your settlement, coordinate and assign different professions and tasks. Let your people gather & refine many different resources and manage your economy by building an efficient infrastructure with streets, depositories and markets.
Every ground cell in the game features dynamically simulated humidity and radiation. Watch as rain clouds irrigate your soil or prepare for constant fights against contaminated rain bringing devastating radiation to your lands.
The climate has changed! Prepare for recurring and agonizing droughts and plan ahead by stocking up food and water. Every cycle is a new challenge! Withstand the unstoppable sandstorm, as it destroys buildings and brings deadly radiation.
The invisible danger of radiation is still haunting the surface with contaminated rain. Protect your people from radiation sickness with special gear. Clean water with active coal filters, build roofs on your fields and dig up the ground as a last resort to remove radiation from your land.
The world is in shambles but some of the manmade fragments still remain. Send expeditions to ruins and long forgotten places and make meaningful decisions that change the fate of your people.

As a fan of the Fallout, Sim City, and Civilization games I really wanted to like this game. Nope, I'm uninstalling it and never playing this one or the sequel (that's in beta right now). Here's why: the game mechanics don't make sense, the game breaks when there's about 1000 settlers on the screen, and it's not fun. As far as game mechanics are concerned, you're at the mercy of your idiotic settlers. They might all be dying of radiation but will not divert resources from making buildings to making radiation suits or masks. So if you have 5 buildings queued that use cloth, then guess what they will continue making those instead of radiation suits. There's no way to stop them. As their seemingly immortal benevolent leader you should be able to manually intercede and prioritize critical items, food, etc. Nope, and keep in mind that it takes only one mistake to wipe out the entire settlement. As far as the side quests are concerned they are beyond silly, they are obnoxious. For example, as I am fending of a horde of raiders I fail a side quest to bake cakes. The climate also doesn't make any sense, the droughts and sandstorms are all way to frequent for the climate that this supposedly takes place in. With regard to the crashes, my PC can handle about 1000-1500 settlers. Beyond that the game slows down too much to be playable. Apparently this is a technical "feature" where each settler is rendered and interacts with the environment despite them not really being relevant 99% of the time. The developer really should have either optimized this so that it is less resource intensive or at some point decided that rendering individual settlers isn't the right technical solution for this game (there's other ways of doing this). Finally, with regard to how much fun this game is. It just isn't. Once you grow a large settlement you realize what it really is, a game about logistics. Plain, boring logistics. Whether you're converting scrap into cloth, or cloth and wood into shelters or scrap into electronics and then into solar plants, it's all logistics. Compare this to other games such as Civ where there is an element of discovery and adventure. There's nothing here except a hollow husk. This is one of the very few games that I feel like I've wasted my time trying to understand. Save yourself time and headaches, this game isn't worth it.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

City builders are one of my favorite genres, but this one just isn't fun. The tutorial moves at a quick pace, introducing you to all of the various concepts and mechanics in the game. The mood and atmosphere feels great and things look really promising, but then you try the actual game. The full game moves at a glacial pace and is very punishing to the point of being more frustrating than anything else. You never seem to have enough people or resources to do anything without waiting around forever. I wound up spending very little of my time doing much of anything other than micromanaging my settlers to change what job they were doing. Then, after an hour or two of trying to get your settlement off the ground, something bad will happen and the whole thing comes crashing down and you start all over again with nothing. As far as I can tell, there's no way to recover from a bad situation. Since the game is so punishing, everything just spirals out of control once you're short on one of the many resources that you need. I felt like I had to execute some exact sequence of steps (that I was never able to figure out) in order to have any sort of success. The game does a really poor job of explaining what might be going on or what you should be doing to make things work. I get that the developers were clearly out to make a difficult game, but the problem is that the game doesn't feel challenging, it feels intentionally designed to be unfair. In the end, it's just not fun.
Have you ever wanted to go to work instead of going to work? Well, now you can! I revisited this game this year. The fact that I was able to set up a thriving colony in the past is genuinely bonkers. I have tried every strategy in early game to settle resource problems: tightly packed colony, micromanaged population control, schools to make tools and clothing last, overclocked recyclers, and of course...settlers without tools. They just didn't want to walk 15 feet to get them. The settlement isn't spread out, learned that the hard way, they just didn't want to walk to a nearby warehouse, and just wanted to instead be unhappy about it. That was try...19? 9,000? God who knows. Whoops! Then raiders show up. Can't get a colony ready for that challenge because the lobatimized settlers won't stumble their way to a warehouse and pick up an abundantly available tool. So I'm doing an activity where I try my hardest to satisfy a group of needy people who are too dumb to figure out the tech on their own? That's work. That's literally what people do in offices for work. That's not a game. That's not a downtime activity. That's a chore. I LOVE population management games, they are enjoyable downtime activities for me. This is not me playing the wrong genre. This is exhausting to play and it was only through mad determination that I tried this long. Fix the settler AI issues, give them greater tolerances to supply and walking distances. That's crazy. Ideal circumstances under easy game play yields near impossible supply breakdowns? Come on. Come. On.

Would have got a good review from me until I discovered the scrap eco bottleneck that shafts the entire game, seriously?
