FANTASTIC

I feel ecstatic

I bought this game during the weekend and was completing absorbed it in for 10 hours (as of writing this review.) If you have ANY feeling about picking it up and trying it, PLEASE DO!!!!!! It's worth its price tenfold in the wonderful experience it gives you. I've just finished my first run and see so many avenues where where I could find other endings, and boy, am I excited to find those! This game is so well paced, charmingly funny and balances its horror to the point where you forget it's a horror game, until it gets you. I would consider myself decently desensitised to horror, but this game's scares are so thoughtfully placed that it genuinely unnerved me at certain points. It's less a "haha, in your face" kind of horror and more of a psychological "gets in your head" kind. Details that you learn and that stick in your head, moments that remind you of those details, the journey of figuring out the puzzles in order to get answers, etc. I feel too emotionally attached to this game after spending 10 hours of my weekend absorded in it to properly give it the review it deserves, (and I am still processing parts of it,) but I will leave you with this: Do not be put-off by the fact that this game has horror-aspects, just try it. The process is part of the journey; and maybe the home you were looking for wasn't what you needed all along.

great game. wonderful music, charming characters and great story with interesting social commentary. only gripe is the lack of multiple save files.
