Endacopia is a Point-and-Click Puzzle Adventure that is visually reminiscent of early computer edutainment games... with underlying horrors.

Awesome and charming game
I'm feeling entertained! Everything I hoped for and more. Love Mellow and the humongous style clickables all over the game. The characters are fun and I managed to get several friends of mine into it after a stream. Feels like there are tons of hidden things left to find even after several playthroughs. Also the music in this game is just nothing but bangers.

Just finished chapter 1. I gotta say, this do be game of the year material mr Geoff Keighley.
Simultaneously an oldschool point-and-click adventure and a newschool game with decades of gaming experience concluded in non-repitative gameplay. Remember those old adventure having a minigame? Guess what, Endacopia has a minigame for basically every location.
Honestly? There's a whole lot I can say positive, but it would act as a spoiler for readers and I'd rather not. Unfortunately, there's also one thing I dislike about this game, and it's frustrated me enough that I've gone into a deep dive into the exact behavior I'm experiencing, and this review has my findings to date; the combat system. Not in theory; the theory behind this system is very simple and elegant in a way that fits into the rest of the game perfectly save for that it doesn't work properly; but in implementation, because the implementation, for some reason, has very bad issues with position tracking for me; There are only three position regions you can recieve or send attacks through, yet there seems to be a frustratingly high chance that I will be moused into the correct region for an attack, either defend or send it, and I either still get hit despite being dead center or flung tk the edge kf the screen, or my attack misses even if I go beyond the three regions and make sure my fists are sending directly over the enemy while in their vulnerable state. Which is really frustrating for someone like me who enjoys pulling 100% achievements on games I really, really like. Maybe it's an issue specific to the Steam Deck or Linux/Proton, I don't know, but I do know I've spent hours where I very much notice that it should have been minutes to get through some of these fights, because my hits keep not landing and theirs keep landing anyway. Two of the endings are even locked behind fairly difficult fights, to avoid spoilers for readers by excluding specifics, the Ending A fight, I noticed the issue a little, but the difficulty of that one is still reasonably doable and I was able to get past it without too much trouble. Ending C, though, I really noticed there, and even though I was shoving my mouse straight to the edges of the screen and directly into the middle at the end when I finally beat it, the issue still persisted, and it was a matter of pure gambling whether or not I'd successfully block enough while also attacking enough to squeeze through. Come time to get the achievements, though, I really noticed it with the one fight you have to set your watch to do; while there is some bluff movement in this sequence, and I did keep falling for it, I tracked back over perfectly in time to block it, and the success rate of blocking it was the same as the times I didn't fall for the bluff movement and went right where I needed to be. But really, as much as one can see I have to say about the combat system, the combat system is such a small part of the game, there is so, so mucb more to it than just the fighting, and I don't want to spoil it all, so just go play it. Full recommendation from me.
