Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this game hits way above it's belt for a indie title the unique class system that's a wrapped into the lore of the world makes me want to reply the game the monologue voice acting is amazing and personally I like to see more of this title and the company behind it
Encased was yet another Fallout 2 clone, and not a thoughtful one. It wanted to claim that lineage so badly it was willing to ignore two decades of CRPG evolution. The result, unsurprisingly, was a bad game. Worse, it was an unfinished bad game. Play something else.

in the wilderness exploring I randomly encountered a nudist in a large coat and gas mask who flashed me, I countered by flashing him back. he approved and then went on his way. (great crpg, very detailed world with a lot to explore. your choices will impact events in the game and there is a lot of build variety and customisation. The writing is actually good and funny sometimes. I am probably nearing the end of the first act and really like this game! Edit: the second act is weaker than the first, but it is not as bad as the reviews make it seem. It is a great crpg, lots of replayability. I would get this if you like the genre, maybe on sale and dont be expecting it to be BG3....
Solid turn-based RPG. Enjoyable dialogs, quests, the setting is interesting, a lot of voice acting for such a smaller scale production. Highly recommend it.
I'm conflicted on Encased, but would ultimately recommend it (on a deep discount) and here's why:
+The Good+
+ Premise of the game is great and the first half of the game uses it masterfully. + Lore. + RPG mechanics lifted from the classics of the genre, in both good and the bad. + Combat is good (Which is good since there is so much of it!). Best way to describe it is Wasteland 2 combat but without any of the faults W2 has. + The first half of the game is very good and made me invested enough to finish the game, easily one of the best CRPG experiences + Bugs I encountered (aside from foes) were very minor and went away with a restart, most commonly relating to inventory management and moving items with mouse. + Very good translation
-The Bad-
- Inventory management designed by the Devil himself >:(. A "great" mix of Resident Evil, Wasteland 2 and Fallout - Companions are just damage soaks & DPS multipliers and lack almost any character, playing without companions is hard mode but won't impact the game much - Companions get in the way in tight spaces, often blocking objects you want to use/interact with - Weapon upgrade system doesn't feel good after the first few levels. - Latter half of the game is mainly fetch or courier tasks that require you to memorize where people are, made worse when those people move about on the map wasting time in load screens and wandering about map searching where exactly those people are. Worst one required 10+ loading screen transitions - Tying to previous one: slow movement speed wasting huge amount of time. Doubling or tripling character movement speed with console is recommended. - Skill checks in conversations happen only once requiring savescumming if you failed by small margin and for example smoking a cigarette or reading skill mag would let you pass - Sudden deaths on par with Sierra adventure games. Save often like the loading screen tips say - The ending is disappointing, not bad just disappointment Hopefully the Bad didn't scare you away from this game, even with all that it's worth a play as the genre has so few good entries. Just as a sidenote 99% completion took about 65 hours
It has a fun sense of humor, and an intersting take on a Post-Apocalyptic setting, and is in general a good modern version of classic isometric style rpg's. It's not loaded down with dlc, there are some mods for it, and you can easily ad your own portraits for your character if you wish, though it's got decent portraits by default. I would highly recommend this game, bearing in mine that it does have some adult content (some parts are a bit graphic with violence, and some strong language)
What a gem. It has its faults to be sure (see other postings), and won't be for everyone, but I managed to pick it up on substantial discount while looking for a turn based combat RPG style game. It's a bit like a simplified 'Lite' version of Fallout 2 but without the crankiness or stability problems and a lot better and user friendly than other post-apocalyptic RPGs I've come across. Character choice will vary or limit some of your game play options, and character development was straightforward, as was crafting items and upgrading weapons. There were some things that I only worked out later in the game so missed opportunities to pick up gear or resources, and if you ignore most of the side quests you may well struggle later in the game. I liked it enough to play it to the exclusion of just about everything else and finish it, so well worth a try if you can pick it up on substantial discount IMHO
I do not skip the dialogues so the ammount of gibberish absolutely killed me. Unknown place was the last nail in the coffin. Another offenders: - one proper build, everything else is severely sub-par - ungodly amount of trash loot everywhere
another "classic fallout inspired" rpg, but here player sees AN ABUNDANCE of boring fetch quests, that force you run around the map doing absolutely mundane tasks and looking at loading screen(omg,so fun).
They just don't make games like these anymore. And, sadly, Dark Crystal games won't get the chance to follow-up with a sequel, as they dissolved after the release of Encased. So they REALLY don't make games like this anymore.... Which is a crying shame, honestly, as Encased, while imperfect, is still an amazing CRPG and absolutely worth your time and money. As a long time CRPG player - having played the original Fallout and Baldur's Gate games when they were released - Encased absolutely nails that aesthetic of a retro CRPG. It is clear that the developers had a love for the genre, and truly understood what made games like Fallout, BG, Wasteland, and Arcanum truly special. Yes, Encased is a little janky, has some quality dips, and it's the most optimized experience on the planet. It was also made by a smaller team, and while it has flaws, it also has so much charm and heart, and it's clear that the devs put their hearts and souls into its creation. While I wouldn't recommend Encased to someone brand new to the CRPG world, I can wholeheartedly endorse it for long-time players of the genre who are looking for a game that nails the old-school vibe from when CRPGs were in their prime. It feels a little like Arcanum, a bit like Wasteland 3, and also has some of the quirks of Larian's offerings. What makes Encased pretty special is that almost every specialization is viable in some way. Yes, there are combat encounters that cannot be avoided, but focusing on a tech build or a gregarious socializer build can be very rewarding in this game, opening up a lot of options. Yes, the difficulty drops off once you've leveled up past a certain point, but so do essentially all other CRPGs, so I don't find this to be an issue. Also, tactics may not be quite as large a focus with this one, but this also serves to make combat a little more streamlined. Some of the quests can be hit or miss, and the RNG with certain rewards can cause moments of frustration, but the minute to minute gameplay is enjoyable. The story is also pretty well told, with an engaging premise. All these hours in, I'm still discovering better ways to play, and look forward to diving in again with a different character build. I was fortunate to have gotten Encased on sale (a very good sale, might I add), but after playing it this long and knowing what I know now, I would have gladly paid full price. Highly recommended!
