This game is a trashy, messy, buggy and laggy game. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. When this game was first released, it was known that it had some issues, but the more they updated it, the worse the game became. I just attempted to play this game, and it was laggy, the police, fire and ems units (actual vehicles) had major issues, but this was just the icing on the cake. The game has an awful camera system, its completely trash. It was hard to maneuver the playable characters with the current camera system, and it would glitch inside of the walls of the building. Trying to ignore the broken mess of vehicles, is another issue, for the Montgomery area, the police cars, had issues with the spot lights, instead of the light head rotating, the handle rotated outside of the vehicle... the vehicle windows, were broken (thats before I started to drive). The vehicle sounds are terrible, and have a fire engine startup sound, the cars also do not match the real sounds... The game has a cool mouse toggle mechanic... but even when its not on the screen, you can open and close doors youre not even clicking! I tried to open the driver door of many vehicles, and ended up opening the passenger door, which didnt wanna close... I couldnt even drive some of the vehicles, they were stuck and frozen, I could dispatch them, but they wouldnt move... Overall, this is only a small portion of the issues that I had with this game, in my opinion, trash it and start over... IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY, BUY THIS GAME!!!

I bought this game when it was released on steam. At the time it was buggy but with so many different mechanics involved, it was understandable. I gave the dev slack as he was young and I felt this was a brilliant idea with so much potential. I supported and shared his development livestreams. Even early on the promises were vast and actual progress slow and there was already talk that this was a cashgrab. I did not feel that at the time. I became concerned after he was pushing the Montgomery County release before basic gameplay and map elements in the Manhattan map (it is EmergeNYC, after all). Then the discord became a toxic community of apologists for the dev and I was muted and banned for raising legitimate concerns. After reading other reviews I see that I am not the only one. I decided at the time to post a negative review, which I have done very few times. This was 5+ years ago and i purposely avoided it. I came back to look at this game after some friends picked Flashing Lights, hoping some issues would be fixed. It seems all the same issues are still prevalent, the dev is working on new projects while insisting this game is not abandoned, only paused. The game will not develop new interest until basic issues like optimization and functionality are fixed. To tell us that development is "paused" is frankly insulting. This developer does not deserve your purchase at this time and I feel he owes a major damage control effort to the community, but I don't think he is that concerned.
The game has been completely abandoned by its developer in order to focus on its game currently in development ‘War of the Worlds".
Game has been out for a very long time...barely works. Not worth it.
I have had this game for years. It has Never improved but is somehow not dead.... As others have said, the devs are more concerned with making power-trip serves rather than actually make the game playable. Seriously, this is a paid product that has been around for YEARS and there has been next to no tangible improvement in the playability. Don't buy.
Slow to load the game. Engine unstable, graphics needs improvements, sounds and vehicle handling need update. They need to stop adding stuff and fix what is already in.
8 years of after release and its still unfinished. All the potential in the world and zero follow through.
i wish we could get at least partial refunds for games like this that not only got abandoned in early access but also apparantly stole assets . sadly one of many times i got my hopes up and the developer dropped the ball making me swear off buying any more early access games.
Since the game is now abandoned an the user has failed to keep us updated don't buy this game. Was worth it at first. trusted the user and thats my issue. Hes def active. Found his reddit: https://www.reddit.com/user/rafaelmfernandez/
It's abandoned... save your money UNLESS you just want it... because the sirens are great, vehicles are ok... but... since the game is LAGGY as hell, unfinished, and empty I lean more on the "no".
