In Elite Escape you are in the role of a recruit for a special unit called Alpha-X. As a newcomer, you will of course first go through a so-called screening process to assess our analytical skills. For this we are brought into different rooms, where mostly a number of devices are placed around and with their help we have to find a way to get to the next area etc. to become a full member of the Aipha-X at the end. This all sounds quite good until we realize that failure usually means the end of the test and not only that... In Elite Escape a variety of different puzzles must be solved, from logical to numerical to mechanical. The control and handling of the objects mostly works perfectly, the game offers a great physics overall. Often the puzzles are also peppered with traps, in the truest sense of the word... ouch! Unfortunately there are some slipping problems every now and then, but they don't really break the game flow. The player is controlled either by teleportation or free movement. Especially the mechanical puzzles remind of puzzle beads like form. It is great to see how objects change mechanically. The puzzles themselves are well mixed in the degree of difficulty and I haven't finished the game after 2 hours. The graphics in Elite Escape are rather sober and functional, but fit quite well into the atmosphere of a sterile test environment. Elite Escape is a must buy for all fans of the Escaperoom game already because of the low price and the good physics. more elitist reviews about 👀 escape afterwards on my curator page. Meh, could have used some beta testers :D. Graphics are good. Most puzzles are fine, some are stupid though: - the numpad in the first room and every other place with things to touch close to each other often registers multiple touches. Just have a cooldown of maybe 0.5 seconds after every touch to prevent such accidental "Oh I pressed 5 and 7 instead of just 5", or "Oh no I pressed B twice" (the drawer puzzle). - the two lower drawers seemed bugged. I saw the arrows and the characters in the corner after a while and I eventually managed to open them somehow but I didn't get the logic behind that. - the scale puzzle... I had to read the hint to understand that weights can be on both sides... Ok, but then you are under an extreme time pressure to do math and I gave up after a while. This puzzle could give the player more time and more space to place the weights on. I know what I have to do but struggle to do it fast enough.
Movement and looking does not work on Oculus without holding down the joystick buttons and there is no way to change controls.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. I died a couple of times from doing stuff out of sequence or just not looking around hard enough. Took me 2 tries on level 8 before I actually looked around. Can't wait for more.
Bugged out garbage. And also missing QoL features from better VR games.
This is a great escape room game. Solid puzzling, graphics are beautiful and smooth (if not a bit fuzzy LOL) and the animations are top notch and a ridiculous steal at $4 ... on sale for $2 in the autumn sale makes me feel like I stole it. An instant buy for any VR escape room fans
I m half way to the game and I ve t say its very well crafted. The puzzles feel very engaging and by no means easy, some of them are time restrictive, some need heavy memorasation so its just like the title says an "Elite" Escape Room game with a very nie asthetic by the way, it looks very good. Definately a worthy buy!
I absolutely loved this! I used it on oculus quest 2 and had no problems. The rooms were great and I, and my daughter both really enjoyed the puzzles. I can't wait for more.
Great, interactive game. I'm happy to say my only problems were my own stupidity, and poor shooting. I will say that with the scale puzzle that the 9 weights should be marked as 9 cause I thought it was six at one point.
