Successor to the roguelike RPG "Elona". Adventure, survival, crafting, home-building, myths passed down, and stories of humans and Elea spun. What scars will you leave on the land of Ylva?

Hungry? Eat. Tired? Sleep. Low hp/mana? Rest Oh yeah that's the basics ofc I know that. Come on do better. *Several point clicks later Found a level X dungeon, maybe I can conquer it. Too easy? Gotta conquer a higher one. Too strong? Maybe I need to level up. Level the what? Skills or stats? Wait how do I get stronger? Oh I have to eat to get the nutrients out of it. I have to pay taxes? Ez, I have money. Why is it going higher? I have to find a way of living. Gotta sell the loot of the dungeon. This is tedious. I got to level up my *weapon* skill then why I am not stronger? My character is so weak and poor. I had enough, let's find something in the internet. Oh so that's how you do it. *Already opened X numbers of wiki and reddit post. Every questions answered, leads to more questions. I'm getting impatient, it's time to discord to ask some stuff I wanted to know. Fortunately theres a lot online. At that point, the game runs along with my WEB BROWSER - the library to learn about the Elin. Wdym this is a single player? IT'S NOT. I interact with people to know something in DISCORD - the tavern to ask info/intel. *Everything you learned sounds ridiculous but simple. You know the ways of living a life in Ylva. I am now a Master of this game. Then, someone with a ridiculous amount play time pops out showing off the most sophisticated life he was doing in Ylva. You are now humbled. You understand nothing in this game anymore. *Peak

My life is going down the drain.
==Review in Progress== It seems to be a RPG + base building game. You can pick class/race and fight monsters. There are dungeons and towns you can visit. From the looks of it, there seems to be SO MANY weapons/armors/spells to choose from. Race & Class looks unique and plenty to choose from. NPC sells food and ingredients which seems to be cooking-related. There's a quest board to deliver items for NPCs or slay monsters for money. 40 hours in : I already spent 25 hours on Demo (which carries the progression over if you buy the whole game). So it's more like 65 hours in, yet barely even scratched surface. I've been dungeon-ing and trying to get my skills up and get better weapons. But I'm slowly learning that Food increase your Stats more than fighting (I could be wrong). So i started to sell all my loot to buy food. I spent approximately 20 hours developing/building my base. I think I explored maybe 5% of the game if not 2%. Will update more as I go. 46 hours in : I hired Cerberus as a Pet to help me fight. He burnt all my bags and items! I also hired a Werewolf slave, he's been disguising as a human in town and been attacking town NPCs! They fight really well, but i guess they come with down side as well Lol NPC won't do business with me now that I'm a criminal in town. 65 hours in : I'm not sure why My karma keeps dropping especially when I enter towns? Need to do more research. I found this haunted mansion while back, this little girl told me to find a treasure in the bottom of the dungeon, it was too hard at the time, but now I'm coming back to it. It's like Diablo 1, going down the dungeon and you don't know when it will end. I spent so much money on buying Food, need to find some ways to make food instead. You can Definitely level up your stats without having a single fight in this game, you can eat food to level up. I hear that some players choose to do musician and perform to get money + experience. 76 hours in : The beauty of this game is that the doesn't tell you everything about the game. You will just have to explore as you play; anywhere from fighting, farming, cooking, crafting, how food get rot if not in cooler, monster types, tourism, building towns, different types of magic and its levels, etc etc on and on and on. Also lots bizarre things that doesn't make sense in our world; the other day I cooked dachshund's egg; there are weapons made from raw food; statues can be made with meat; tent made our of paper that can be carried and hold LOTS of items.

Clear Nefias to continue to fund your slave empire so that you can financially recover from a disappointing flower purchase. Plays a lot like Elona but the story is tied to developing your settlements this time, rather than settlements acting like optional storage / food / money making schemes like they used to. This can initially be off-putting as you get used to the down time required to upgrade / maintain your settlements but can be automated for massive profits as the game goes on. Moongates also work properly now! I highly recommend this game if you liked the original or house building second life simulator types of games.
I've been unable to peel myself away ever since first installing Elin. Highly addictive in the way that it feeds my desire to grind stats and dungeon crawl. The stuff in between that - building a base, spinning slots, farming, experimenting with crafting and just exploring the overworld - is plenty enough to keep my attention until it's time to start dungeon diving again. I was so occupied with all of this that I didn't even actually fight the first boss until about 40 hours in. It's a gem that's a little unpolished in some areas but it sure does shine bright.
