Zitat Sohn: "mega gut, richtig super!"
This turn based strategy game is tons of fun for young and old. It is based on the Eldrador Creatures toy brand, so it looks like a game for children. But, after spending some hours with the game, I can definitely say this game is very enjoyable for adult gamers as well. It features 4 difficulty modes, where "easy" is great for children while "very hard" is made for those of us adults longing for some serious turn based strategy challenge. Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall is a game in the vein of classics like Into The Breach or Xcom (to some degree). You move your character across a map where enemy forces are blocking the way. To fight them, you have to select up to 4 creatures for your team, each creature with its own unique abilities. You start with a basic set of creatures, unlocking new ones as you go. I really enjoy all the tactical possibilities of the different creatures. This makes for very interesting "trial and error"-matches, constantly testing out new tactics. This leads to very satisfying battles. You should definitely try out the Lavascorpion in a battle against the minicreatures if you don't believe me. The game has a great sense of humour, hitting the spot where both children and adults will enjoy it. The voice acting is outstanding. Also, the game looks and sounds great. All in all I really enjoy this game. It features a deep tactical depth which you would not expect from a game based on a toy brand. Anyone who is even remotely interested in turn-based strategy games should definitely take a look at Eldrador Creatures Shadowfall. Also, if you and/or your children are fans of the Eldrador Creatures toy brand, this is basically a no brainer.
My son immediately fell in love when he saw this game. For me it's a great way of introducing him to games, especially tactic and fantasy games. His beloved Eldrador creatures got great animations and I think the devs did a really great job to also add subtitle audio to make it more immersive. Also, for me it is a plus that this game is not fast paced like other games for children. This way he won't get overwhelmed and can take his time.
Solid little Turn base stragegygame for kids. It's fully voices and kids can play it without needing constant help with the game. (At least on easy) The dialogue is quite funny and full of references for adults. And the style of humour reminds me of the dungeons series. While on ver hard it still gets quite challenging for adult players. Since it's a game for kids the combat isn't quite overly complex but you'll have some environmental stuff and effects. And so on. On higher difficulties you'll need to exploit the level hazards and play quite cleverly. The AI is predictable. By design. So beating the levels requires exploring how the AI works. Or at least it makes it easier to win. With 20 characters the game has quite a roster. You will be encouraged to try out new ones and switching them around is quite easy. While some are quite similar most characters are unique and even the similar ones are different enough to actually make a difference in mechanics. So if you're an adult wanting to dabble into the turn based strategy genre without having to deal with lots of complexity. Or you want a introduction into the turn based strategy genre for your kid. (Or just a good kids game that isn't a cheap cashgrab) Then gibt this one a try.
It was perfect and I got 4 new figures and my fav creature is jungle emperor hes so cool and the full game 10/10
