I had more fun in the 30-minutes I spent playing the Onimusha Demo, then I had in the entirety of my 30 hours with Elden Ring. In this game, the admittedly stunning visuals and gorgeous environments of the open world come at the expense of good level design and enemy variety. You may find a secret cave, or see a castle in the distance, and go there only to fight the same enemies you have fought for the past 10 hours, a boss that you have also fought before, and items that are completely useless for your character. All of the advancement that Sekiro made to combat mechanics in the genre 7 years ago were put aside for the sake of more character customization, but that customizaiton fails to make up for how dated and boring the base system is. As old as Sekiro is by now, its combat system still feels fresh compared to Elden Ring, which is just Dark Souls 3 with a spit and shine. My favorite part of playing a souls-like is to go from Bonfire A to Bonfire B, then back-track, killing all the enemies and exploring the zone to make sure I didn't miss anything. Doing that in Elden Ring is pretty much impossible, save for particular areas like Stomveil Castle and the Academy. There is this one path, like a narrow bridge, filled with wolves. This is like 100 seconds of riding at full speed with only wolves scattered across this path (I think it is in Liurnia). Are you supposed to fight them and kill them all? Is there any good reason NOT to just ride through them on your mount and ignore them? What's the point of having enemies in the open world in the first place if skipping them is the most 'fun' approach? And there are so many areas like this: every camp with knights, every graveyard with spawning skeletons, every mine and catacomb. They are all a giant waste of time, yet skipping feels awful to me. All the grandeur, all the majesty in the environment falls apart when the first thought in my mind when I see something new over the horizon is: "this is probably going to be another huge waste of time." If I skip content in this game, I feel bad for skipping it, and if I engage with it, I feel bad for having wasted my time. It's a lose-lose situation. I knew I wouldn't like this game the moment I found out the combat was going to be more like DS3 than Sekiro, but I figured I'd give it a try anyway because of the hype. I hoped it would win me over, but it did not. For the record, I did not ragequit this game due to getting stuck at a boss, as is usually the case with souls games, I reached Mt. Gelmir and realized I had a choice - I could continue exploring this area until I find something fun in it, or I could go play Stellar Blade, Onimusha, or any of other games I have on my list. I chose the latter.

As a gamer over 30, I feel like I'm just not the target audience for this. The game is not just difficult; it's also annoying, and dull. Vast landscapes that are beautiful but the developers also had to sprinkle all sorts of "gotcha" traps all over. Grinding in a video game? I do enough of that in real life, thank you. Sekiro was way better: difficult, but u didn't feel like the developers deliberately gimped your character's action speed. Also have to mention the developers' retarded stance on not enabling ultrawide support, because the game is "competitive" in their eyes or sth. Talk about disconnected from reality. Actual competitive games allow ultrawide support, no hassle attached.

купите не пожалейте б отдельный привет бабадзаке , ну и в целом веселая игра легкая
honestly it is a great game, im just putting this here becuase, even tho the game puposely does this, in every way shape and form the game is extremely annoying, specially at the start and progressing is a pain. Its really hard to have fun with a game that is just annoying all the time, i love elden ring its just, unless you have a way to stay calm to the most annoying hitboxs and attacks in the game along with stupidly long debuff effects, and short buff effects, than do not even think about even putting this game on your wishlist, like i said I love this game, but its hard to really have fun with anything besides fighting bosses.
