Discover a world haunted by its past, where people are reliving the horrors of their own history. Every path has its challenges, its encounters, and its rewards. And your journey is yours to command.
Every journey ends with a return to the Azimuth Temple. Up there, Watchers can develop their skills, change their combat approach, or simply enjoy the pearls of wisdom of a millennia-old dragon.
A Rift has opened in the Cycle of Memories. As a Watcher, it falls to you to save the World’s Memory. Divinities, primordial Guardians, and peoples scarred by war and exploitation: a vast world unfolds before you. Only you can uncover its hidden truths.

This game is very fun. basically a hades clone, but with emphasis but on making your own spells through combining modifers, which modify how your spells (or triggers) behave, and triggers which will trigger when a certain condition is met. the system is simply, but tons of options for different playstyles naturally emerge. Highly recommend and I can't wait to see what this game will become by the finished product if its already this good
this is str8 up gas and its not even done yet - highly reccomend
SUMMARY: An extremely promising ARPG Roguelike with an exceptional plot, interesting spellcrafting, and plenty of challenges and unlocks. Crafting your own spells out of memories is the core of the game, allowing you to really strategize and plan. It's not a must-buy in Early Access YET - but promises to become an evolutionary part of the genre. So at the start let's get this out of the way: This game is in great shape in Early Access, but isn't complete and needs some polish. So at the current time it's getting an evolving but excellent game that will probably become a Must Buy. Now onward to Mystralia . . . The Watchers keep an eye on the world and the Cycle, the flow of time and memories, under the tutelage of the mysterious Timeless One. Armed with magic, the power to draw upon the memories of the past to manifest elemental forces, they watch both the joy and the pain of the world. But something has gone wrong over the years, time is broken, people are possessed by their own memories, and Shadows of the past assault the living. As a young Watcher, Mazarim, you journey into an ever-shifting world, living and dying and returning, trying to unravel the mystery. So what does this game have. PLOT: This may be the best plot I've seen in a Roguelite. Every element of the game - the currency, the randomized world, the spell system, etc. is tied into the story of the game. The characters are memorable. Revelations change your view of the world. The coherence of the story and the game makes it very engaging. SPELLCRAFTING: This is the core of the game, and be prepared to put some thought into it. You can unlock 4 base spells, which in turn each have 4 elemental forms. These have a grid of connections that let you slot "memories," and how they connect to the core spell AND each other changes the spell. A single new memory and rearrangement can alter the entire game run, turning ice shurikens into luminous buzzsaws or a flaming punch can also deliver lightning blows. The customization is deep and you'll want to learn it - and if you're into that, you'll have fun. ACTION: The fighting is a combination of twitchy/mashy and strategic positioning. You may suddenly be releasing a flurry of punches, and other times sniping from a distance. Enemies have patterns and tells you'll want to learn. Enemies are varied enough to be interesting, though randomized crowds can at times be too easy or surprisingly hard. ADVENTURE: The game presents randomized options each "encounter" (battle or event) and on the overworld map. This means you get choices to make - do you unlock an Earth Memory, chose a zone that has a rare artifact, fight a boss, etc. You know what's next (if you read the tips and learn the symbols) so you get to choose. Environments are interesting, if at times repetitive, and you'll want to keep an eye out for extras - there are all sorts of items, puzzles, treasure, etc. UNLOCKABLES: The game has many unlockables you reach with events and finding specific resources. You'll recovery Echoes and memories that let you unlock new game elements as memories return to the broken world. Wisdom can be used when meditating in the Lotus to get and boost abilities. Ancient Knowledge lets you unlock spells and variants or leap gaps in the Lotus. You'll want to modify your adventure to help you find the options you need. The game is the complete package - plot, mechanics, and more all tied together in a fun and deep Spellcrafting RPG. At this time, however, since it's Early Access it's not done and needs some polish and more content. I can't say it's a Must-purchase, its something you get to get a good chunk of the game and watch and help it evolve. But it will probably be genre-defining once it's done. So who's it for? * If you're deep into spellcrafting games, you'll probably be glad to get it early if you like giving feedback. Actually even if you don't, you'll be deep into your customization. * If you're into plot-driven RPGs this may be worth it early. The plot is that impressive. * If the above kind of game sounds like its for you and you want to give feedback. * You're going to buy it anyway and might get it out of the way (this is me). Echoes of Mystralia needs to evolve some more, but it's on track to be fantastic - and may be for you right now.
Good game, amazing spell combinations. However, the shadows are harder than the bosses, and the final boss is too simple. Another point is that there’s no way to make the game harder, making each run easier and easier thanks to meta progression.
So it has everything that made mages of mystralia a truly fun and interesting game and brought it to a rogue like setting. Very well done cant wait to see the rest of its story.
