Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
It’s been 20 years since the events of the original game. The virus won, and humanity is slowly dying. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a wandering Pilgrim who delivers goods, brings news, and connects the few remaining survivor settlements in barren lands devastated by the zombie virus. However, your true goal is to find your little sister Mia, who you left behind as a kid to escape Dr. Waltz's torturous experiments. Haunted by the past, you eventually make the decision to confront it when you learn that Mia may still be alive in Villedor — the last city standing on Earth.
You quickly find yourself in a settlement torn by conflict. You’ll need to engage in creative and gory combat, so hone your skills to defeat hordes of zombies and make allies. Roam the city, free run across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot in remote areas, and be wary of the night. With every sunset, monsters take control of the streets.
Fifteen years ago, humanity was devastated by the Fall — a catastrophic event that would change the world forever. With the Harran virus spreading around the globe, people quickly found out that all hope for tomorrow is lost. By 2036, only a few settlements remain, and humanity is slowly dying, making way for the new species out there — a horde of relentless zombies.
Welcome to Villedor, one of the last bastions of humanity. During the day, survivors still try to have a life here and find a false sense of normalcy. Relationships are formed, dreams are dreamed, and life carries on. On the surface, everything seems… fine. Until sunset, that is. With the last ray of light dying out, other, more dreadful, dwellers of The City crawl out of their gloomy interiors, taking over the streets. If you are not vigilant and stay out too long in the dark, you may never return.
Not all fights can be won. Sometimes it’s best to run and, thankfully, you have the skills for it. Parkour lets you escape when odds are not in your favor. Jump from rooftop to rooftop, swing across the cityscape, ride ziplines, and much more. Whatever you do, experience a unique sense of freedom as you freerun across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot or while running away from the dangers of the night.
In a world as dangerous as this one, only the strongest survive. Whether you prefer to smash, slice or dismember those who stand in your way, you have to be creative about it to make it through. And who says you need weapons? Utilize the entirety of your parkour moveset to get the jump on your enemies. Learn the ways of combat and parkour to feel the crunch of skulls and slices of flesh as you swing weapons or use your moves to fend off any forms of danger. And let’s not forget that Villedor has weapons that put the most advanced post-apocalyptic armories to shame.
Surviving in Villedor is easier with friends. Team up with up to 3 other players and increase your chances out there. Unravel the story together, take on Pilgrim Outpost challenges, or simply wreak havoc on the city streets.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 16: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 27/day in the week to Sep 16 → 48.6/day in the week after.
Of the 2 markets with a position on both sides, 2 climbed and 0 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 24.57/day in the week to Sep 14 → 42.14/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

just started, out of hospital and running around for ages. I died from falling and it put me BACK in the hospital and you cannot get out. Had to kill myself and hope it wouldn't put me back in there forever. Tracking something on the map and i am close but then the tracking just disappears on the HUD? Rubbish.
Finally finished the game so I can uninstall it and forget about it. Here are some cons and pros. Cons: - Numerous bugs - The story feels bland and uninspired - The writing is particularly weak - Parkour mechanics feel sluggish and unresponsive - The environment comes across as empty and repetitive - Limited variety in enemy models Pros: - Excellent soundtrack that enhances the overall atmosphere - Combat is pretty fun - Gore effects looks nice
tl;dr: Overwhelming amount of content in the base game, with even more content in the form of developer-supported mods, events, and online bounties. Parkour is a step up from the first game, with the exception of the grappling hook which got a huge downgrade. A story exists. 8.5/10. Like the original Dying Light, the best way to describe Dying Light 2 is an open-world parkour simulator with zombies sprinkled in. The sequel removes a lot of the jank that was present in the parkour in the original Dying Light, making it much smoother to traverse the rooftops and even skyscrapers of Villedor. My only complaint with Dying Light 2's parkour is how they absolutely gutted the grappling hook. The grappling hook no longer pulls you towards whatever you hooked onto, but rather acts more like a Spiderman web where it can latch onto a surface, but can only weakly swing back and forth on the rope unless you start with a lot of momentum. Even fully upgraded, I find myself struggling to find places to use the grappling hook and just end up using regular parkour and the paraglider to move around 99% of the time. This isn't really a big issue because the game gives you lots of tools to move around the city (actual fast travel points, smoother parkour, and the aforementioned paraglider), just a little annoying after coming straight from the first game. Apparently Dying Light 2 also got a lot of flak on release, but as of today, a lot of those pain points have already been addressed by the developers. Night time is much more scary than in Dying Light, and a lot of the quests actually force you to explore at night, which is a stark difference compared to the original where I just slept through the night almost every time. Silly things like Aiden having a seizure every time he gets into bed have been removed (he only gets seizures when you take inhibitors now - I can't imagine how annoying the original must have been). Of course, Techland has also done some questionable things as well, such as the removal of Spike and the gutting of the original prologue sequence, but overall, the game is in a much better and complete state than it was on release. Dying Light 2 is also a MUCH more substantial game than its predecessor. As of writing this review, I have about 46 hours in Dying Light 2, and I only just reached the halfway point of the main story. In comparison, I have about 36 hours in the original Dying Light, and that was enough to complete the main story, The Following DLC, and almost all the side quests. This might not be the positive that it seems like however, because the "content" in Dying Light 2 mostly consists of lengthy side quest chains (up to TEN quests in length) that require you to bounce around Villedor repeatedly, which can get exhausting very quickly. I would highly recommend not tackling all of the side quests as they show up, as you'll likely end up very overleveled for the main story, and will probably also get burnt out on the repetition. Another gripe I have with Dying Light 2 is the abundance of parkour challenges. In a game where you're already parkouring across the city during normal gameplay, there is absolutely no need to have SO many parkour challenges littered throughout the map, some of which are disguised as side quests. I'm not kidding when I say when I open the map, about 30-40% of the markers on the map are parkour challenges. The only saving grace is that only a subset of these parkour challenges are required for any achievements, so for the most part you can just ignore them, but it's still a downer to see a question mark while exploring the map and spend 5 minutes to get to it only for it to be a silly parkour challenge flag. Ending on a positive note, another thing that Dying Light 2 does well compared to its predecessor is replay value. Dying Light 2 actually has multiple endings, and throughout the game you will have to make choices that greatly alter the world (i.e. some side quests might not be available if you side with one faction over another) and the story. The game actually has me excited for the next playthrough even though I'm not even done with the first one, which is something the original Dying Light did not have (I pretty much had no incentive to play the original again because it was such a linear story). Overall, this might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually slightly prefer Dying Light 2 over the original Dying Light. The game just has so much more replay value, and there is just so much content, even not having touched mods or community made maps yet. Yes, it can get repetitive, and yes there is some jank in the game, but the game definitely scratches the first person open-world adventure game (ala Cyberpunk) that I've been craving. 8.5/10.
I thought that dying light the beast was a worse dying light 2. Turns out, it's way better than dying light 2. This game is not fun in the intro, not fun after the intro. I cannot make myself play it a third time. I'm just going to take my friend and play the beast again.
