However, astute readers acquainted with At the Mountains of Madness might desire more."

Не плохая бродился-головоломка с легкой атмосферой Хребтов Безумия. Признаться честно ожидание было большим, но игра не разочаровала. Надеюсь разработчики будут и дальше продолжать в том же духе.
An Obscure, Chilling Puzzle Adventure Game: Short, Sweet, Lovecraftian.
*Disclaimer & Thank you to the solo dev for providing me with a free review copy! I was given total freedom to play, say and do whatever I pleased with my time on this game. These are my genuine thoughts and opinions* I recommend this game to anyone who's a fan of eerie exploration, mysterious atmosphere and slow burn story telling. All with fantastically done audio heavy puzzles and game design. Added with the walking sim taste, pixel art style flavor, and adventure elements mixed in generously. I absolutely adored the atmosphere and exploring of this game. The audio design was the hallmark of my experience. I will say however, the only issues I had with this game is the 3rd puzzle was really confusing and I genuinely still don't understand it, I manage to solve it by brute forcing the different options lol. Secondly, I do feel that depending on the person $8 might be a tad steep of a price tag for such a short game, I would justify and defend this price tag with the idea that the game is very well made and genuinely crafted with love and care from a solo dev, it ran well, it plays great, it felt and ran perfect start to finish. Not many solo indie titles here on steam can say the same. I can see on sale, $5 or less, as the more appealing price tag to most ppl with less spare change, but the few extra full price dollars could be considered a very much well deserved tip for the unique and smooth experience you're getting here (Especially considering Valve/Steam takes part of the cut). This game isn't for everyone and I really appreciate that, I wish more games were unique experiences catered to specific audiences and players, only then can we have more diverse and interesting games to play. TLDR: As a big fan of short and sweet, obscure indie titles this was a great journey start to finish with zero issues! (minus one confusing puzzle lol) 8/10
An interesting little exploration game, with increasingly difficult puzzles, and a fun journey. Not bad. Not amazing.
Even though it's short, there's something very special here, so I'm happy to support this work. The high quality (and perfectly minimal) controls, mechanics, style, atmosphere, and writing found here can be the platform to continue this genre in the direction where the Penumbra series left off... in my opinion, that's a huge void that is waiting to be filled by exactly this kind of properly focused developer. I can't wait to see where you guys take your talents and passion..
Loved the pixelation setting + retro-horror atmosphere. Alone for that it stands out for me. I wish it would be a little less linear, like the puzzles to require some kind of backtracking and more exploring the cave in different directions. In the end, it was actually quite linear and essentially a walking sim with some puzzles you complete in order to progress to the next room. In my playthrough I never went back, only forward... or maybe I missed a part of the mystery? Overall, I'd recommend it because it's definitely unique and a good game to immerse yourself into for a horror-night.
Nice short little atmospheric puzzle game. Very good audio design, use of darkness and lighting, and some fantastic visuals. Pretty much every room has something cool to look at.
Love that you have to figure out how to solve the puzzles by yourself, some quite tricky, but original. Foreboding atmosphere with liminal, alien spaces, great ambiance and sound. You don't need to slap the word Necronomicon in there to get it; the cosmic horror comes through anyway. I'd like more story. More weird jumps to random offices. The mix between our tangible reality and the vastness of the unknown. I'm sorry it was cut so short, hence the refund.
