Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 10 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Dustborn is a single-player, story-driven action-adventure game about hope, love, friendships, robots…and the power of words.
You play Pax: exile, con-artist — Anomal. Looking for a way out and a new life, Pax has been hired to transport an important package from Pacifica to Nova Scotia, across the Justice-controlled American Republic.
Explore the stunning Neo-Western landscapes of an alternate history America on a robot-driven tour bus, and stop at a dozen locations along the road to build your crew, manage relationships, complete missions, and face increasingly difficult challenges.
But the people you stole the package from want it back, and Justice is hot on your heels, so don’t forget to pack your baseball bat!
At the end of the road lies salvation…but to get there, you need to cross an entire continent.

Words have power. Like, actual power. Fight with Shouts and use your Vox in conversations to manipulate people and talk your way out of hairy situations. Craft new words, and learn to wield a lingual arsenal against enemies...and friends.

On the road across an alternate history America, you’ll stop at iconic locations, take on unexpected assignments, meet a colorful cast of characters, enlist new crew members, and evade (or fight) your pursuers. See beautiful sights along the highway, rendered in a colorful graphic-novel-inspired art style that brings stunning 2D illustrations to 3D life.

Your crew is your (found) family. Round up, manage and lean on a motley mob of misfits with peculiar powers, compelling stories and clashing personalities. Branching dialogues lead to choices that shape relationships and change how your crew feels about themselves and others.

In each location you’ll explore, investigate and chat with the people you meet, use the crew to overcome challenges, craft new Shouts and Vox, and rehearse with your band. You might also find yourself throwing Molotov cocktails from a motorbike, swing a baseball bat to take down helicopters…and more. You know, just normal everyday stuff.

GREAT game, lovely characters, wonderful story. A little buggy but nothing a game restart couldn't fix.
I triggered the starving artist so she curled up in the nearest bathroom lol
The story is very good, the art very pretty, the pace of the game is good. The mechanics are unusual but very satisfying.

10/10 polecamx
i loved the game personally. the characters were gorgeous and loveable. and as a musician, i enjoyed the rhythm games and the overall musical aspect of the game. the plot is insane and kept me hooked. will play again!
I'd rather play desert bus... again.
Had this one in my library for some time and decided Pride Month was the perfect time to play. It's...not the greatest game in the world, but it's a solid 6/10 in my opinion.
Characters
Okay, so the game feels like a kind of "who's who" of representation, which makes it feel less authentic. I'm all for positive representation in games, and it's part of the reason I picked the game up, but it feels a little forced here where they try and cram as much representation in as possible, but only in members of your crew and not in any of the antagonists. I get what they're going for, but I'd prefer things were more authentic. That said, all the characters are well done. Pax starts out as a problematic character but you can see her grow through the game. The rest of the characters are more immediately lovable, which makes it feel a little bad when you have to give them bad answers with Pax, but they absolutely carry the game.
Story / Worldbuilding
Another mixed-bag. I feel like there was way more of the story that could/should have been told, like all the interesting stuff will have either happened before or after the road trip our characters are on. But the part we do get to experience with them was still interesting and kept me going. Again a large part of it being good was the interactions between the characters which kept me wanting more. I do think the world they set up could have been explored a bit more, and there's a lot of concepts/history that feel quite unexplained. We're expected to just accept the Puritans or Justice are bad guys without us really knowing why or what they've done. I do think the concepts of the powers are interesting, and seeing them ostracised and feared like the X-Men makes sense in-universe. Overall very interesting world and story, but felt quite under utilised and like I really wanted to learn more.
Gameplay / Bugs
So the game plays like a Quantic Dream or Telltale game where you're mostly just walking around chatting, picking dialogue options, with the occasional QTE. That gameplay style isn't for everyone, but if you enjoy those style of games it's what you expect. There is combat on the game, which is kind of...floaty and not the best, but it can be skipped if you get frustrated with the poor controls, which is nice (I generally enjoy combat in games, but didn't like the feel of the combat here and skipped it). I did come across the same bug a number of times where if you do things too fast, you get stuck and can't move, or even open the menu to quit and have to fully close the game and go back in. It didn't happen often, but it was annoying.
Steam Deck
Game played perfectly and looked good on the Deck. The only issue was the hanging above, but otherwise it was a nice game to flop down on the sofa and play/read.
It's so good, I'm so in love with the story and the characters (especially Noam)! The story is nice, it doesn't go in circles and I love the premise of the game too. Fighting fascist authoritarians is always a good thing in my books. The cover story is also amazing as to why they're traveling by bus! The character design is also amazing, I simply love the looks they gave everyone, especially Sai and Ophelia!
Had a lot of fun playing this game. Its a great 'choose your story' game which I love. No complaints. I can't understand someone not liking this game tbh. It has some fighting in it too but you can choose to skip those parts if you'd like.
I paid less than 2 dollars for a bad time and I can't help but feel inspired to attempt a fanfic redraft of this miserable script into something that's also propaganda but not terrible enough to be an accolade for people that are supposed to be the bad guys. Many times the narrative would set up something that could potentially be interesting and utterly ♥♥♥♥ the bed with some lame-o answer that isn't in-depth or satisfying in the slightest. While I do not agree with the folks that this game is obviously targeting I can't help but feel secondarily insulted by how low brow this game is, like the game is unable to believe a person can think at all. I've witnessed more nuance in WW2 wartime anti Asian propaganda posters. The second biggest sin is the quirk chungus She-Hulk who is only able to be annoying as ♥♥♥♥. The protag is human garbage but salvageable and the other two have great potential as far as I am in the story. Genuinely I'm considering this product a front for money laundering.
