Great metroidvania if you're not used to them. bump up the difficulty a notch or two.
The experience that you have with this game is just astonishing. I think that a more complex and detailed lore of the Dust world and the characters inside it would be such a nice touch to the entire environment of the game. The combat most of the time is very frenetic and give more aprecciation for the game. Therefore there is some aspects of the game that really don't make it perfect; the combat is very repetitive. You learn all the commands pretty soon and easily. You don't have an amount of hard challenges to pick up all the combat skills. The second thing that dissapoints me is the items and gadgets. Why would someone care about so many items if you can just see who got the best points on defense, attack and lucky? It's not difficult to see what are the best items and select 'em. Well, I would give an 10 for this game. But I'll stick with 9. :)

I owned this game on my 360 way back when, and I put so many hours into playing and replaying this game. The art style is beautiful, the gameplay is really fun, and the voice acting, while corny at times, really grows on you as you play.
