Shallow. I know, it's only $4, and typing games are typically that, just typing. But this is especially shallow. You deal damage on successful words, you take damage on missed keystrokes. That's it. There is no reason to pay attention to anything but the word on the screen, so there is basically no game other than the word on the screen. You have no ability to manipulate your hp (aside from before and after run upgrades), you have no dynamic or interesting mechanics. You just type the word. You go until you miss a keystroke one too many times. Nothing about the UI or flavor is impactful because you can't pay attention to it. You need to type the word at the center of the screen as fast as possible to truly succeed. So the basic sprites, the timer, even your hp vs. the enemy's hp are all ignored 90% of the time. As a result... You are just staring at and typing words. Shallow. Not fun. Added onto the frustration, certain enemies appear to do more damage than others? But the word choice appears to be basically random. A refund for me.
A typist's dream, a tower crawler for the quick thinker. Each level bringing you new word-based adversaries, better be quick to succeed. And the music, like an elixir to the soul ensnaring your senses. A concoction of gaming that transcend the ordinary, this tower crawling masterpiece is an absolute must try. Wordplay, immersion, addiction, it's all here.
Only played for a short time but I still enjoyed more than I expected lol. Its a very simple typing game but the retro pixel graphics have a nice charm. I focused on stacking damage items and upgrades and the climbing went faster. Typing faster = more damage is oddly satisfying and the mimic showing up sometimes was a cute touch. Its not super deep or anything but its chill, its fun for quick sessions.
Really loving the game, its really fun and has a great soundtrack. I do kinda wish there was a mode for doing sentences and punctuation to go with the other modes. Even without it though it is well worth the price.
Very fun typing game if only I could type like a normal human beeing.... 11/10 would get killed by garbage rat again!
It's a fun and simple game. I do wish the allotted time for each word was based upon word length instead of fixed, since your damage bonus depends on it. Still, I don't get the downvotes. It's a well-made game, reasonably-priced, with steady progression and a hardcore mode for perfectionists. Also, global leaderboards are perfect for tryhards like me.
Absolutely adore the art and atmosphere of the game (Can I have a Garbaj rat pet??). It's the perfect mix of creepy and cute. :3 The gameplay itself is super fun, even tho it made me realize how bad I am at typing... T_T'' I really like that you can tell that a lot of love and attention to detail went into the game design! ^-^
Very addicting game and extremely well made! I'd kiss the game creator on the mouth if I ever met them for making such a masterpiece. Garbaj Rat may have won the battle.. but I will win the war!
there is nothing like the high of quickly spelling words right
God I wish garbaj rat was real
