Recently started playing the game again and I must say, it has been much more enjoyable than it was. Seeing that a community of dedicated players have been allowed to take over and continue support of the game for the few that still play is awesome to see. Their work has not been in vain and is very much appreciated. As a lover of the OG Dungeon Defenders, thank you for showing this franchise the love it deserves.
Very Grindy but Relaxing and fun to play take your time with it and enjoy it one of the best Tower defense games out there.
I wanted to leave a quick review that the community development team deserves a ton of praise on this game. I came back in 2026 and it’s an absolute blast and you can from the new content they are putting in and balancing the existing heroes that the game is in good hands.
Loved DD1 when I was fresh out of college, and this seems like a remake/revamp in a lot of ways. The only thing I would love to see is better split screen support. DD1 had up to 4 players. DDA only supports 2. And even if I bought another copy to play DDA on PS5 to try to GET TO 4 players (2 on PC, 2 on PS5), PS5 only supports single/online multiplayer. Couch gaming is not dead. I have a big family and we all love to game. This game could have been a huge hit for us, but we're limited by what seems like a simple addition. Shame.
just not worth it
I'm having issues with crashes/cursor disappearing/random deaths and even saves reverting to weeks prior when they patch. I got labeled as a hacker somehow and so did my brother even though I only had like 5 hours on the game at the time; I probably cheated, but I only play private games and this was back before everyone became so sensitive, so? I deleted everything and started fresh, but there's no way to contact support to get the hacker thing removed. The appeals page listed throws error 404 and general support refuses to do appeals. That means I have to hold enter every time a friend joins because of a server sided flag on a peer to peer game. It's the epitome of inbred. I have half a mind to actually disassemble the game and remove it myself. Other than that; it's still a fun game and the dev team is alive at least.
