Reviews
It makes it really easy to whip out maps in minutes and also browse other people's maps. This tool is heavy on the gpu, which is why there are so many negative comments about it crashing. There are frequent updates and free content that comes out with ti. If you are a DM, and you have a semi-decent GPU, get it!
I’ve been using Dungeon Alchemist for a while now, mostly for Foundry VTT maps, and it’s quickly become one of my go-to tools. It gets me past the “blank parchment” stage where I’d normally stall out over pre-planning. With this, I can just start building, ideate quickly, and get to a high-quality result. What I like: • Fast workflow: You can throw ideas down in minutes instead of hours. Drop a few rooms, shift a wall or two. Because they’re built from modular 3D assets rather than paint or stickers, it’s easy to adjust later. • Big, growing asset library: Already a ton to work with, and you can import 3D models or flat images mapped onto 3D surfaces. • Good templates, not limiting: Built-in layouts are great starting points, but you can mix and reshape them however you want. • Foundry export works well: Includes walls, doors, and lights automatically. The walls can be a bit overzealous, but it’s much easier to tweak than to build from scratch. • Export flexibility: Render flat top-downs or different 3D perspectives for more depth. • Camera mode = instant art: Grab in-world shots that match your maps exactly — sometimes I drop them into Nanobanana to add extra story detail. • Easy variations: Export day/night or multi-level versions effortlessly. • Object and lighting tweaks: Plenty of control already, and updates keep improving it. • Texture painting: Works well on terrain so far; I’d love to see floor and interior support next. • Terraforming: Creating maps with varied elevation is quick and intuitive once you get the hang of the tools. • Scope: Great for battle maps and scene art — not meant for regional or world maps (and that’s fine). Bottom line: Dungeon Alchemist has made mapmaking fun again — it’s fast, flexible, and fits neatly into my Foundry workflow without much cleanup.

Very promising tool for a lazy Dungeon Master!
Well, at first it was a little overwelming. It still has some things i would love to be added. But right now, it`s probably one of the best things for creating comfortable battlemaps for me. Thanks to dev team. And don`r stop. You`re doing great.
Dungeon Alchemist is super easy to navigate and provides wonderful renderings.
great for creating my maps
Fun, useful, not too difficult to use. Objects are understandably western fantasy themed mostly, but you can import custom objects (I am a bit too dumb to get textures to work on those). Looking forward to seeing further improvements!
This is one of the best tools in its category. It's intuitive and you can import your own 3D models, of which there are thousands upon thousands of miniatures you can download (or even make/modify with Blender) for free. There is a solid community that shares maps, and regular updates have made the software better now than when I purchased it.
I have not used it much, but I would recommend it still. Great way to make VTT maps. Line of Sight(LoS) is not in everywhere though.I guess it is okay, since there are different opinions which trees and rocks on the map should have LoS, so better leave those without LoS. You can always wait for a sale though if you don't want to support the developers fully.
So far so good, it cant do everything, but what it can do it does great!
