Dumb As Wizards

DaW has great potential. It's in early access and since the developers keep updating it, this i a good thing. They already updated the graphics and the general UX for the game. I should mention that I knew the devs, but I remain objective in this review. Pros: - It's very creative with different spells. - The style is cute and awesome - Easy controls to get into. - It's great when you have friends over for a battle. Cons: - It's buggy still, the characters can disappear and psysics can seem weird since a small push can push you very far. - It can be a bit hard to figure out the objective of the game. - GUI and graphics still seems a bit rouch. - It feels a bit unbalanced when fighting and a emphasise on skill would really take the game to the next level, when winning at the moment it can feel random. As mentioned it has really great potential and if the developers keep updating the game I could really see this game becoming a great couch game that is a must for people who enjoy this type of games. If you can look beyond the initial flaws I recommend you give it a try. It's a chance to help shape the game with communicating with the devs.

Hello. The game does not work well at all for the $9.99 price tag. Online does not work in connecting with friends. The tutorial works kinda but the controller support is buggy as. The buttons are rotated clockwise by 1. (a is x, x is y etc.) Analog sticks dont work well and spell selection isnt stated very well either. The timer states a minuet but ran out after 20 seconds. The game has crashed twice on me as well just trying to start up a game of online with no one else. I could not find a random game either. I will refund this game and hopefully it works better in the future.

Dumb As Wizards is a great chaotic game where you cast weird spells on one another! Think Magicka challenges, at least that's what it reminds me of. Definitely recommend if you can find the people to play it with! And that might not be the easiest thing, but it's so worth it. Give this game a shot! Do some couch coop, or well more often than not couch murdering.

The game didn't even work, my fiance and I bought the game and then tried to set up a multiplayer match but the game wouldn't even start. It just bugged out a couple times, to the point that it would send me back to the main menu but I could't move or select any of the options

Hey devs, The online mulltipler for your doesn't work. You can not invite friends online at all. Your game also crashed twice, I'm sad now because I gifted this game to my friend to pay with but now I've given him a broken game. I was really excited for dumping a whale on him, usually i whale on my friend in games but was disheartend that i didnt get the oppertunity to do so with an actual whale. I really hope that you fix these bugs because your game looks awesome! I wish i could have done the tutorial but the keyboard support was broken too. I'll be regretfully refunding this game. The game is super fun to play with friends. It makes for a great party game!

So.. the concept has potential as a game, but the whole software was a smidge buggy, and the overall quality of the game isn't worth $10 in comparison to avaiable couch-coop games. If I was to ask anything to improve this, would be better audio on the casting of spells.. like you cast the whale spell, you want your wizard to make some noise during casting. Otherwise the game play felt muted in the chaos. Beyond that, more spells would definitely be needed... the selection is a little lacking, and you feel after a few games that you have seen them all. My group played it once and under 1hr, we were done with it. It will likely never be re-visited. Sooo.. buy at $5 or less, and expect 1 hour playtime on it for your local couch-coop.

Don't bother buying this game if your purpose is to play multiplayer. The game is dead and multiplayer is not working anymore
