Drowning Cross

Played this one years before but played for the second time just a while ago for complete achievements. Overall, I have to say that I was still more confused than fulfilled or satisfied that I finished the game. I have read other community reviews regarding this game, and I have to agree with the other negative reviews posted here. As they said, it's not much of negative review, but more of just an underwhelming experience. What I hated during my playthrough of this game is that the decisions you make to progress the story seem to have little to no logic at all. I believe a major part of this problem is the lack of context clues for the player which should've been given by the story or the MC, himself. For example, additional internal monologue could serve as small hints for the player where to go next or what item to present to a person or an object to proceed with the story. On the other hand, I do like the pixel, retro artstyle and music of the game and it definitely has its charm. The characters are okay. I do like some (internal) dialogues of the MC and some of them are actually pretty funny albeit sometimes self-derogatory. Probably just my humor. They're pretty cute together, both main characters, but I didn't get attached to them too much, unfortunately. For the players who enjoyed the game, I'm happy that you had a great experience! It's just that I'm still looking for something more polishing from this game that could've been an better experience overall.
