Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.75/day in the week to Jul 21 → 4.8/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game has excellent combat and a high skill ceiling. It rewards careful planning and thoughtful character builds, even though its stat distribution system is fairly straightforward. On top of that, the story has been great so far. I'm still in Act 1, taking my time to complete every quest I can find, and I've really been enjoying the experience. I'll probably update this review once I've finished at least one full playthrough. A quick tip for new players: starting with two-handed weapons, an axe or a spear, makes the early game much easier. You can also add a shield to your spear build if you feel that you need more defence.
Drova definitely reads like a Gothic love letter and is highly successful at that. The vast open world that rewards exploration and is only gated by you successfully killing or avoiding various monsters, the skill system, the difficulty curve, the uneven spread of content between the chapters... The good and the bad - the last part about chapters feeling uneven was not a compliment, but this was exactly the same in Gothic 1. If you're a Gothic fan, this is a must play. And if you haven't heard of Gothic before, this is a great introduction to the Piranha Bytes formula.
Upps, schon wieder Tageslicht?
I don't care enough about the story to keep playing The early game is fun, and the sense of exploration is there The combat system sucks, they did not tune it enough - swings miss, abilities don't work, hitboxes don't hit The dialogue is basic and at times juvenile, and the plot is underbaked It just gets incredibly tedious at a certain point I wouldn't recommend it beyond getting it on sale and quitting after the first 10 hours I don't think it's worth your time - there's a lot of heart in it, but that doesn't carry the game enough
It's fun so far. But 2026 + Body Type = downvote.
So I have played this game now until I got fed up with it. The intro is kinda long winded but once o start it's really just 2D Gothic, you can't goto certain places because the mobs are to strong and you need to carefully increase your level. Later on you basically kill all the stuff you forgot to kill in the earlier chapeters with one shot. The gameplay is fine, stamina is a little low especially with all the insane enemies you face who basically 2-3 shot you, but you start to learn how to use it as you go. The story is cool, you get captured and need to break out, really a highlight for me. Unfortuately, at least for me, I had constant visual bugs at the tavern, kinda annoying but not gamebreaking. I ended up joining Nameton, here everybody is kinda hateable lmao, I wish I had chosen differently, but I thought I could become a druid. The gameplay starts to go down from here on. Many things are only really doable with a (unfortunately really poorly) written walkthrough, especially the cave systems are not intuitive to follow and you miss importnt side ares because it's visually not clear that they even exist. Most Puzzles are really not nice to solve, remembering patterns that are optionally found is a bad concept imo. My personal end point was when I had to give statues objects shown on murals, it's a boring and tedious puzzle that is also really unintuitive for me personally. These putzzles really destroyed the story and gameplay flow for me and made me quit the game. another major gripe I have with the game is that quite often enemies on route to your destination are op and kinda unbeatable, at least for your casual gamer like me. But it really never mattered that I avoided them, once I took an hour to beat two of them and the XP was miserably low, so it didn't even reward the effort at all. After the statue puzzle, some weird black ghost appeared, I had opted into heavy armor and the ghost seems to be especially hard to beat with that, so I could just run away form, what felt like a mini boss, really bad design choice here. In the end I cannot recommend this game, I really didn't like it after all, others might enjoy the challenge or might just be better at the game, but I really don't want to put hours into grinding another enemy. On a side note, the world feels empty after you killed all the low level mobs. You also run through a killing field all the time you travel because corpses never despawn, it's just not that pleasant to walk anywhere after you have killed all the mobs en route.
The game tries really hard to imitate the classic Gothic formula - but completely misses what actually made those games work. At some point in Act 4, you give me a map with a clearly marked shrine I’m supposed to reach… and then block every possible path with random roots and logs. No warning, no feedback, no indication that this area is locked behind story progression. So instead of playing the game, I spent an hour wandering around badly designed forests, trying to figure out whether I’m missing something or if the game is just broken. Turns out the path does open later - but only if you follow the main quest in a very specific order. Which would’ve been fine, if the game didn’t already tell me to go there and then completely fail to communicate that I actually can’t. That’s not difficulty. That’s not exploration. That’s just wasting the player’s time. I ended up looking up a walkthrough after an hour of pointless running - and at that point the game was already dead for me. You’ve had 20+ years of examples from Piranha Bytes games to learn from. It’s honestly impressive how you managed to copy the surface-level mechanics while completely ignoring the basics of player guidance.
