Tags: 1PS - First Person Shooter Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Decent gunplay but poor game design. Hunt for keycards, backtracking, fast run speed, awful platforming and puzzling. Using bullet time and upgrading the character did not feel super rewarding while the weak points of the game really took the fun away. Not much to say other than the levels feel a lot longer than they really are on account of the lack of fun and bad level design. Backtracking to lever that are pulled and open areas you already passed occurs multiple times a level and the enemies become repetitive and the combat has a bland side to it.

One great retro shooter with an awesome pick of metal music, dark and light but still excellent atmosphere and a good selection of weapons along with a great weapon feedback. This game is such an experience for the fans of this genre games.
my head hurts an d i don't know why
Recomendo!
Lovely game. Little rough at times but was overall a very fun game! Highly recommend!
Honestly this game is pretty mid. Only buy this if its really cheap.
Absolutely worth your time and money. An easy buy for $20 and absolutely a no brainer if you can get it on sale! +Open levels to let you use cover to fight enemies. Will vary depending on difficulty +Large array of weapons to unlock +Weapons can be upgraded +Swappable weapon styles (ie pump shotty or double barrel) +Outstanding music +Lots of enemy variety +Time slow ability that can help turn the tide of battle in your favor +Very satisfying movement and dash abilities +Guns feel fun to shoot Looking at other reviews Dread Templar, positive or negative seems to heavily base on your likes or dislikes of level design and enemy density. In my experience on this game I liked the open areas to maneuver and even smaller areas didn't feel claustrophobic as you had room to retreat and kite enemies. Depending on difficulty level will reward or punish run and gun gameplay. Backtracking after finding keys to progress passed locked doors didn't feel cumbersome or annoying as there usually was an unlocked shortcut back or a teleport. If there wasn't fast travel available then the run back was short. All that said, there's options here for how you want to approach the levels and enemies. All while the guns are fun and satisfying to use.
