bellissimo
Replaying after the DD2 DLC announcement, and man this game is so much fun 😂😂😂 It is technically a Dark Fantasy, even the average color tone is Dark, but you can also do fun things like parrying a Goblin into the air to rain Lightning Bolts on it. The Monster Part-Breaking type system is really fun, the story progress-based world changing (including closing old questlines and opening new ones) is fun, getting stronger does really feel impactful, and I personally really love the story and the lore of this game. Not sure what else to mention here, since I can't really pinpoint who exactly would love this game, or how I would rate it (as in whatever the game is, I really love playing it, so I would just end up giving it 10/10). I just know that lot of people who love this game, REALLY love it. Pretty underrated game imo.
Some games don't need an explanation to prove how good they are. I can assure you that this game is one of those hidden gems. The story, boss fights, and side quests are all fantastic.
A very good game on its age. Thank you devs!
One of the games of all time
Acabo de matar al dragon solo digo es un juegazo y todavia queda mas contenido asi que el juego no acaba ahi
Dragon's Dogma was a game I enjoyed a lot as a teenager. It's a great concept and there are lots of cool things in the gameplay loop, such as climbing giant monsters, and very satisfying classes and skills. My favorites are Mystic Knight, Magick Archer, Warrior, and Strider. Due to how the encounters are designed most classes will not be equipped to handle every situation, at least not without going back to the Inn and re-selected skills or having prior knowledge of what skill are best for each area/quest. Oddly, Warrior gets only 3 skill slots while every other class has 6. This makes Warrior more difficult to play on top of having no ranged skills and very slow animations. If you want to play Warrior I highly recommend the Greatsword MAX mod by maxfriend23 on Nexus Mods. The story has a lot of interesting concepts although you will have to talk to every NPC multiple times, and do every quest to understand all the details or just look it up. The way the story is presented to you through the main quests essentially gives you no information other than you are Arisen and must defeat the Dragon. Gameplay feels fair for the most part (except the beginning if you start on Hard right away). However, the post-game content including the Bitterblack Isle expansion are huge difficulty spikes. That will require some grinding or a lot of patience. Once you conquer BBI though nothing can stop you. You'll find encounters in the base game that were tough now trivial 1 shot battles where you mop the floor with everyone. That always feels nice. There are a lot of little annoyances and odd design choices, but it still makes for a fun experience. I have re-played DD:DA several times over the years and would still recommend it.
Better than remaster.
