This game is amazing for the PvE players who like extraction shooters and think that PvP is to stressful. The only thing wrong with the game is the healing bug, where if you try to heal with a grenade in your hand it will disable any of your heals from working for the rest of the match rendering you unable to heal or even stop bleeding. The other down side of this bug is that your grenades will be disabled too making it just take up empty space. To the devs I politly ask please fix this bug. Another bug that i found is i redaployed but under the map so i died and my stuff was gone forever. Better hop to it devs bc this is pretty angering
I have played this game on and off for over a year now. And now it is definitely at the worst it has ever been. The new maps are nice, but Quarry is just tedious. Delta was the first map and remains the best. When Bunker was released doing missions in there was a mess, and it hasn't changed much. Weapons are slowly but surely inflating in quantity, yet it seems to be just different AKs with not much actual difference in how they play besides ammo types. Worst in my opinion is, how they slowed down game progression. A year ago you could get a faction maxed in 3-4 raids, I see how this could be bad. But now it is the opposite. I have played for 10 hours and barely have gotten my faction levels up. And don't even get me started with the hide out upgrades. Absolute waste of time. Such a shame, the game had potential, but not anymore. It's bad. Don't spend money on it.
I get it that this is an early release game but 2 yrs and the in game audio cues of Ai speech, footsteps, gunfire is broken. Mismatch audio cues of sound direction throughout and yes, I have my surround sound off on my headset and even played with mono settings in game...Id expect the audio as one of the first things dialed in and fixed.
While still in Alpha, Incursion Red River is already well built and engrossing. I've been enjoying the various iterations of it, and it gets better each time there's a new build. The "loot and scoot" loop is addictive, and gets better with friends. "Single Player Tarkov" doesn't do it full justice. Give it a go and try it for yourself!
The game has a pretty solid basic framework, but after playing it, I’d say it’s just a big DLC, not even a half-finished game. There are way too few guns and attachments to pick from. The way you unlock weapon parts tied to trader reputation just doesn’t make sense. The worst part is the suppressor for the AR-15; it takes way too long to unlock. Without a suppressor, every shot you fire will draw AI enemies from across nearly a third of the whole map. I’ve put in 18 hours already, and I still have no clue how to use those computer terminals scattered across the map. All I know is touching them triggers nonstop alarms. Enemies will keep spawning all around you until you get wiped out. You can barely see anything at night before you get night vision or weapon flashlights. If you run into an enemy patrol deep in the woods, your survival is just pure luck. This is supposed to be a realistic tactical FPS, yet it’s full of janky bugs. If you right-click to remove a magazine in your inventory, your character won’t have any animation at all. You can even abuse this glitch to reload instantly from the menu. What’s more, manual reloading with the R key requires four empty slots on your chest rig, since each magazine takes up two slots. If you don’t have enough space, your character will toss the magazine on the ground right away. You end up crawling around in the dark trying to find your lost mag. Right now there aren’t many different loot items either. We only get three maps total, and the fun wears off really fast after a few runs. I hope the devs push out more updates and polish the game soon. I’m looking forward to seeing this game fully finished someday.
Too many performance issues for me to honestly recommend to anyone right now. Love the vibe and atmosphere the dev team is shooting for and really hope to see improvement to gameplay in the future. Issues I experienced: Invisible Textures: I swear every other tree and surface has an invisible wall that can extend up to several feet out from it. Leading to very confusing and frustrating firefights especially in a game where visible cover and height over bore are incredibly relevant. Jittering on objects and being stuck: Bumping the wrong corner and or vaulting over the wrong ledge and cause you to mega twerk even to a point that you no clip through said object and become stuck. Constant Frame Jitters: Frames will randomly drop and spike before returning to normal rate. Could be a me thing here but performance issues in that manner aren't common for me.

(currently 108 Hrs in) It checks all the boxes for me in Alpha, allowing me to not stress about in game currency and just enjoy it as a simplified old school extraction shooter with how i have it arranged for now. reminding me of the original deltaforce mixed with Killswitch, except obviously far superior in every way. Progression is grueling at first, even with changing the difficulty and adding cash through the current UI prompt. But the gun accumulation/ collecting and upgrading becomes enjoyably addictive. Setting up a specialty secondary sniping weapon with a main ambushing setup, altering between the different gun characteristics and finding what works best for my style is a blast. I also love how there isn't a time limit so i can rush in or meander/strategize depending on how I'm feeling. Casual/Laid back or as intense and competitive as desired. Ultimately, I love how you can make the gameplay to suit your attack style and or life's work schedule in the aspect of making it as difficult or "easy" as you want without changing the enjoyment factor.
As someone who enjoys PvE more than PvP, naturally Incursion Red River was a game that was hard to pass up, IRR has a lot of promise behind it, where its at now is a fantastic spot to build off of. While the game has its issues, mostly performance being the biggest issue as of now. I think with a good few more major updates, it'll easily be one of the best PvE extraction shooters on the market. As of now, the base is there and is very enjoyable to play. I'd recommend getting a copy and getting a few buddies to join you. Support the devs so they can continue to make this game into something even better.
This is alpha stage development, and even the goal of the game isn't clear, everything is off here, sounds, ligths .. everything.
