Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

amazing return to classic style RPG. Nothing insanely innovative but a wild ride and fun game. Starts slow but stick with it!
입문작이지만 예상한 정도로 단순한, 그 기본적인 맛을 잘 살린 게임.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age – 10/10
A genuine masterpiece and one of the best JRPGs ever made. Dragon Quest XI delivers everything you could want from a classic adventure: an incredibly charming cast of characters, a sweeping and heartfelt story full of twists, and that perfect blend of nostalgia and modern polish. The turn-based combat is deeply satisfying, the world is vast and beautiful, and the orchestral score is absolutely sublime. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer, this is pure comfort food elevated to art. Heartwarming, epic, and endlessly replayable with multiple endings and post-game content. Square Enix absolutely nailed it. A must-play. 10/10.
Meraviglioso.
brutal
Dragon Quest XI is the game that really got me invested in this series, I have only played Dragon Quest XIII on the PS2 before this which is one of the best games I've ever played. I love this series for it's simple turn-based combat which is easy to understand but you can easily dive deeper in what each ability does to fine-tune your party. The story is really great and each character has their own personality. The only real problem I have is with act 3 (post game content) Basically the hero travels back in time to undo all of the mistakes that happend in act 2. This doesen't really feel thought out since most of the characters immediatley loose their depth as they don't have their cool character arc thingies. So basically very cool game but act 3 kinda ruins it. Also hero is pretty poopy the dude from Dragon Quest XIII was better. I would gladly take recomendations on which Dragon Quest game I should play next!
Dragon Quest XI (S etc.) is the JRPG. What kind of JRPG, I hear you ask? No, just the JRPG. You know the feeling when you ask someone what they want to eat and they just say "anything"? This is the answer to someone craving "any" JRPG. I know, because I was that someone, and this was the answer. Well, it's this and Bravely Default 2, but that's beside the point. First, for the completionists: there are no missables (apart from, apparently, one inconsequential joke unlogged item). It's possible to max all your characters' stats by grinding. It's possible to duplicate almost all items and equipment if you're willing to put in a bit of time. Challenge: the difficulty is tuned very well. If you avoid battles, you'll likely have trouble with bosses. If you want to feel overpowered, you can always grind. Battles are won with a relatively even mix of good tactics and pure brute force, so figuring out a good strategy, getting and reforging the right equipment, and good old grinding will all will contribute to progress. Polish: game runs buttery smooth. No slowdowns, no stutters, no crashes. Graphics are decent, stylized to bring out that Toriyama aesthetic (RIP). There's an entire 2D mode if you want to play it that way. Content: the real reason you're here. A classic JRPG should be one that's familiar but still entertaining, and DQXI delivers by the wagonload. It takes you through a surprisingly solid story for about 60 hours, then
the true open world starts after the credits roll
. There's sidequests, grinding, collecting equipment, all sorts of things to do, and all of it is structured such that every action feeds into your progress, so I rarely felt like I wasted time pursuing something. And that's why DQXI is such a great comfort game. It does everything I want from a classic JRPG. It sticks to the formula, but that's not a bad thing, and it does what it does extremely well. So well that you probably won't even notice all the quality of life features they snuck into the game, that's how smooth the design is. Easily one of the best JRPGs I've ever played, let alone recently, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for something familiar, not necessarily unique or groundbreaking.
