Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Incredibly frustrating. The blueprint system is INFURIATING and requires you to place pixel-perfect blocks with no margin for error. The battle system is basic, lame and clunky, there's no mini map or quest markers, and there is an insane amount of backtracking for no reason. Also, your villagers basically do nothing. Disappointed.
I've never played any of the dragon quests games and know nothing about the world but this game is a lot of fun! There is a lot of quality of life things that I wish other games today had like global inventory. The world is large enough to be fun to explore without feeling too empty. Trying to mine in the caves is a mess though. If you want anything from directly above you, godspeed soldier. If it's on sale, give it a try! Exploring and general building is fun with a controller but I like placing details and managing my chests with a mouse.

I love every dragon quest game, and the builders games are an excellent addition to the line. If you dig block-based builders like minecraft or pokopia, these games have plenty to offer, all delivered in the adorable Toriyama style. Each chapter has its own story and challenges, and then there's a free-build area you unlock items for from these chapters (much like the second game in the series). I originally got this game ten years ago when it released, and I still got it here and started replaying it because it was such a delight. Even after recently playing the second one, this one retains all of its charm.
Best game I ever played. Life changing. Easy to understand and fun to play, and also has amazing lore and characters that I keep coming back for after six years.
Eh, it's fun to play. It's very heavily story driven, but relatively easy to 100% and just enjoy, however, I feel the sequel is better in just about every single comprehensible way. The second DQB is actually one of my favorite games ever!!
minecraft but A LOT better
Its not a bad game, but i do not recommend this because DQ Builders 2 (two) is much much better in every way, and you do not need to play DQ Builders 1 first, as its totally standalone. builders 2 is one of the best games ever and extremely underrated. PS: play with a mouse and get used to switching between first person and 3rd person in it.
