Welcome to the world of CastleStorm, a super genre mashup of 2D physics destruction mashed with tower defense brawler! CastleStorm was born out of the fond childhood memory of building and destroying LEGO castles.

CastleStorm – Medieval Chaos With Weaponized Sheep CastleStorm is what happens when someone mixes Angry Birds, tower defense, light RPG elements and a dumb medieval comedy – and then actually ships it. You build and customize your own castle, then spend the rest of the time destroying someone else’s. You’re constantly juggling three things at once: Firing a ballista with increasingly ridiculous projectiles (standard bolts, explosive shots, and yes, weaponized sheep). Spawning troops that march off to bonk enemy soldiers in the face. Dropping spells and sending your hero onto the battlefield when everything is falling apart. When it all clicks, it feels like glorious, slightly out-of-control chaos. Walls crumble, towers tip over, and soldiers go flying in ways that would make a physics teacher deeply uncomfortable. The game is at its best when both castles are half-destroyed and you’re desperately trying to hold your own together with panic shots and last-second reinforcements. The tone is very tongue-in-cheek. The story isn’t deep, but it doesn’t need to be – it’s just there to justify knights and vikings yeeting projectiles at each other. The dialogue is cheesy in a good way, the characters are walking clichés, and the game knows exactly how silly it is. What I liked Surprisingly fun mix of physics destruction, tower defense and hero action. Castle building actually matters – put important rooms in the wrong place and you’ll watch them get blown up first. Destruction feels great: a well-placed shot that makes a whole tower slowly collapse never gets old. Short missions that are perfect for “just one more game” (which always turns into five). What’s not so great It can get a bit repetitive if you play for very long sessions in one go. Sometimes the screen is so busy that you feel more stressed than strategic. The story is basically just a delivery system for jokes – don’t expect deep lore. Verdict CastleStorm won’t change your life, but it will let you launch sheep at vikings while your beautifully customized castle collapses in the background – and honestly, that’s more than enough for me. If you enjoy physics-based destruction, light strategy and dumb medieval humor, this is an easy recommendation. If you hate chaos, sheep and fun… maybe pick something else.
Needs the definitive edition. Other then that peak game.
fun old game worth it in a sale, just one minor issue, please let me move my window and stop centering my mouse all the time... and just let me use my cursor
One of the best casual games, with a surprising amount of depth.
I absolutely adore this game! It's the game that I always had with me as a child. The gameplay is simple, but very unique. The story is a breath of fresh air. It's serious enough for you to enjoy it, while still staying lighthearted and fun. These days, you need a beast of a computer to run a game that you have to play for 4 hours straight to make any progress, not to mention the loading screens. This is not that type of game. It's a reminder of when gaming was something you did to relax and have some fun for a bit. You can play for five minutes, you can play for an hour, it depends solely on you. There is no pressure. This is what a game should strive to be. Not to mention, playing as one of the heroes feels awesome. The balancing is great, you feel strong, but not to the point that it's boring. Hero Survival is especially a great game mode. Easy to learn, hard to master. I come back to it now and again when I just want a quick, fun game. Would 100% recommend!
