Glad I picked it up on sale. Visually it's stunning, no question but the gameplay just isn't for me. I get that it has a strong, dedicated community behind it, but this Butoden-style gameplay really doesn't click with me when it comes to Dragon Ball. :(

I love this game. It is one of my favorite games. Some of the best memories with game buds were made here... On PS4. Natively, this game does not even launch on steamdeck (maybe Linux in general) even with SteamOS's built-in compatibility layers. There is a fix, and it works fine. Download ProtonUp-Qt > install latest proton version > relaunch steam > launch DBFZ. Cool. All systems nominal. Even online works!... Until I get booted due to anti-cheat discriminating against Linux. This is a long known issue and probably the final plague to Linux gaming. Arcsys, Bandai, PLEASE REMEDY THIS!!! Other multiplayer games have solved this (The Finals, for example) and it would significantly add to the playerbase if Linux and Steamdeck were officially supported. Downheartedly, I cannot recoomend this game while it neglects the Linux playerbase. Thank you for the memories and thrills, I'd love to have more, but y'all won't let me :\
