Honestly, my favorite dragon age. 10/10 just wished it was longer.
So when this game was relased there was allot of talking about it. Its to woke. Its not enough for an RPG and so much more. Well what can i say to all this: Well lets begin with the good/great stuff, the graphics and atmosphre are amazing and the artstyle is in my opinon really great, the combat is fun esp.. after the the first 5 houres. The vocie acting is quiet good even from not Important charachters. Now to the not soo good to bad stuff: The game is way to long for the actual content that is in the game. After about 13 hours im maybe at 20% if not even still at 15%. And look I like a long game games like BDG3 or Cyberpunk etc... I like long games but I like long games with content to make up for that long time. Also this being a Biowear game you obviously have allot of disscions to make that impact the story right ? No not really there till about hour 12 there was one yes just one that had impact on the story the rest was more for well romance I guess ? Now for this game being to woke well im someone who dosent have problems with "woke" games I love BDG3 I love Mass Effect etc.. thoes games are very poltical and "woke" but with well writen dialoge takling modern problems with care and thought behind it. The Veilguard dose this like a kid on a jump rope the main story is good the ideas are great and the way the story evolves is okay but its allot of the side content that show thoes are not well writen somtimes and also somtimes ther just peak. So i say if u like an Action Rpg that u can put in good hours go buy this game on sale otherwise there just games who does what Veilguard wants to do but better. I hope with this game Biowear knows were to go next becasue there still doing allot of the things i love about the old one but they slip so I hope that they with there next game learn from this and well fix the stuff thats not so great.
This is a great capstone for the Dragon Age series, and brings the ending of Inquisition to a satisfying finale. The gameplay is stellar: you can tune the difficulty up to higher settings if you like action RPGs, because it can get pretty intense and feel very rewarding when you go through entire fights without getting hit, setting up combos, and making the most of directing your teammates and optimizing your build and gear. Or you can tune the difficulty down and breeze through the game for the story. The character customization is also top-notch, though you can't switch classes—you're locked in with the class you choose at the start. (You can immediately customize appearance and gear for stats separately, and the game features excellent fantasy fashion. A huge win for us Fashion Souls players.) Being stuck with a single class is not to the game's detriment, though. There's a learning curve to understanding and exploiting game mechanics like combos, teamwork, stagger bars, synergies, and stacking buffs/debuffs. You can, for example, play high-risk-high-reward builds, or play it safe. You can min-max, or try to be more balanced in your tactics and builds. The game gives you a lot of options. You can always reset your skill points and experiment with different builds, and the game offers a lot of variety and interesting specializations for all three classes. And it's just very fun to figure out a setup that works, and best enemies you're underleveled for! I also appreciate how this game respects your time as a player. The achievements are not locked behind making you re-play it a dozen times to see multiple romances or outcomes, it encourages you to stick with your choices, good and bad, and see the story through. Many of your decisions come into fruition very late in the game, but they offer satisfying payoffs, and don't pus them into hypothetical sequels—something that has often bothered me in previous Bioware RPGs. This game is great for role-playing purists. People saying the writing in this game is bad are dead wrong. The line-by-line dialogue is great, with some real bangers dropped, especially in the second half of the game. That even goes for ambient dialogue and Codex notes you can read in between the action, if you're interested. It's worth finding 100% of the Codex, even if there's no achievement attached, because it adds so much to the world and characters. The characters are charming, their story arcs are deeply intertwined and compelling, and the pacing of the game is outstanding, where it juggles the action and exploration with its quest beats effortlessly. The villains are a bit cartoonish, but ultimately understandable if you read between the lines and explore deeply enough, and offer up spectacular and satisfying boss fights in turn. And they feel like a fitting escalation from the villains of previous games. Don't listen to the haters on this one. If you enjoyed all three previous Dragon Age games, you owe it to yourself to play this one through to the ending at least once.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love complaining
