Dragon Age™: The Veilguard

this game is bland and feels like work. it's annoying and good lord the performance is bad. i'm actually sad. i loved origins, i tolerated da2, i liked inquisition but this? nah. i spent 60 bucks for nostalgia and it's the last time i give this corpse of a studio money.

Мне игра понравилась, не хватает звёзд с неба, но она не хуже в некоторых аспектах от двойки и инквизиции. Геймплей бодрый, сюжет просто но эпичный, спутники нормальные, каждый прописан и со своей особенностью, повестки не так много как про неё кричат (кроме кринжового момента с Тааш, в целом ничего необычного для Биоваров) Прогрессия и прокачка интересная, можно собрать реально прикольные билды и наказывать. Не слушайте про "губки для впитывания хп" я смотрел эти видосы, там чуваки бегают в серой броне или качают одно, а пользуются другим, есть уникумы которые только лкм спамят, а потом илм геймплей не нравится. Убрали пустой открытый мир как было в инквизиции и теперь у нас локации но выполнены очень доже недурно. Графика отличная, визуал многие ругают, но как для жанра фентези всё довольно красиво и каждая локация очень грамотно заставлена. Короче игра понравилась, рекомендую, на скидке покупайте не пожалеете, если уберете предвзятость и попытаетесь увидеть хорошее, то вы явно насладитесь игрой.

If I knew what I know now I would not buy this game. The load times are super long. YOu will not be able to switch characters in game. New game creates a new character and when you try to go back to a previous character you have to use new game mode again , finalize the same character and start game. The story stars all over again. The save system needs some cereous repair. It sucks I blew away 70$ for game and add ons. I was so stupid.

Clearly, I'd heard a lot about this game and the general feedback/response from some elements of the community. I don't get it. This game was excellent. The game is graphically gorgeous. The combat is pretty tight, if a little repetitive at times, the story arch is great and satisfying at the end(s) and it tied nicely into previous games; it felt like a genuine continuation. Some of the dialogue choices were a bit cookie cutter at times, and it falls into the Marvel trap of a lot of comebacks having to be short, pithy and witty, which isn't necessary a lot of the time, but it was otherwise a great game. The game is probably my second of the season, but I've loved all of them. The story was tighter and lacked much of the sidequest bloat associated with Inquisition. The areas were interesting, the puzzles were a bit simple but it all drove the story and the worldbuilding forward, and the game really shines with the worldbuilding, as most of the DA games do. It's a shame that the contention of some people around the non-binary character seemed to take over. It was handled pretty delicately and, far from the accusations levied against it, it wasn't shoved in your face at every opportunity. If you like the other DA games, play it. Don't let the echo chamber put you off. It feels like the next evolution of Inquisition, so if you liked that, go for it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I was a fan of DA: Inquisition, and had (some) hopes for this game. To be honest, it was a MASSIVE let down. I'm a millennial, and I HATE millennials in the video game industry. The writing is among the worst I've ever seen in a game. In dialogue opportunities, there are "gender identity options" where you can discuss your gender identity? And a gender confused sidekick that is struggling with "it's" identity? Bro, what? I play games to escape reality, not be forced into this reality that has become our world. It's just strange. The dialogue is atrocious, and the game looks like a cartoon. By the grace of God, I was able to play this due to an EA Play subscription and didn't have to purchase the game outright. Would've been a complete waste of money. I, in good faith, cannot recommend this game. I wanted to like it, because I was a fan of DA: Inquisition, but I just can't. If this is the direction the series is taking, then I want no part of it. It literally felt like a chore to play. 3.5/10

This is a classic example of bad new games, better graphics, better looks and thats it, plus i saw pronouns at the character creation, 4 me, insta FAIL!

Очень хорошая игра, которую абсолютно незаслуженно загадили. - Визуально ОЧЕНЬ красивая. Одна только проработка причёсок нашего персонажа и остальных NPC чего стоит. Куча разнообразных локаций, как мрачных, так и цветастых, со своим тематическим оформлением и прочими атрибутами. - Боевая система простая в освоении и крайне разнообразная в плане стиля прохождения, и вариативности развития / прокачки. Только ради неё одной игру можно пройти раз 10 ). У всех напарников так же есть свои УНИКАЛЬНЫЕ умения, которые они могут комбинировать друг с другом, либо с вами. Это даёт свой ВЗРЫВНОЙ эффект. - Сюжет простой, вполне нормально написан. Для любителей почитать о истории вселенной есть очень обширный кодекс. Интересного там хватает. - Музыка разве что малость невыразительная. Может быть это не самый лучший Dragon Age (по мнению упоротых фанатиков), но извините меня, все игры этой серии сделаны по разному и сильно друг от друга отличаются. А все эти потрясающие разговоры о повестке и о якобы навязыванию всей этой темы игрокам... Вы в игру играли вообще, кретины? Из 75 часов всего прохождения, конкретно этой теме, времени уделяется от силы минут 20-40, МАКСИМУМ! И то, можно просто не трогать сюжетную ветвь одного конкретного персонажа, раз уж вы такие чувствительные.
