Loving the game so far
This game is so underrated. The amount of variety to literally everything is crazy
I don't normally play rouge-likes or anything that much which involve mechanics like the genre does. That being said I love this game! it's unique and certainly stands out there are plenty of cool and memorable design choices which add to the immersion and look of the world. The guns are punchy and fun and melee is more often then not satisfying! it's fun to test out different characters and their abilities, for the price you are getting what you paid for; a good time!
Nice little roguelite. I keep coming back for more that's always a good sign. Tons of things to find and upgrade.
pros -design, effort, (in)distinct worldbuilding without exposition -jarring, unlikely weapon variety, and other stuff that makes you more -meta progress, in meta location that contains the gamestart -roguelike, and i bet it rates much higher on the roguelike meter than other roguelikes, in terms of stats. who knows what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stats cons -isometric acrobatics -changed the name for worse. call it (violent/hostile verb distinctly different to binding) of dracula. the first name was a bit weird too but thats just bravery -changed the front and center guy from bloods calebs cousin who has to deal with vampire stuff, to chuck norris. theres a character thats a humanoid hand armed with a green pipe from the mario franchise -bullet hell. i hate bullet hells i dont know why i keep playing them -a few bugs, but also some cheese.
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to find fun about this game. It's too much of a hectic mess.
This is a great roguelite that needs a lot more recognition that it currently has.
This game is a gem and while you may read that this is not finished, I'd still buy it, this is the first time that I felt this way about a game. This game is like a beautiful paint that's 99% finished. The painting is so beautiful that you just can't help but to appreciate it even if it's not in it's final form. This is the first time that I felt in love with a game in this way. I don't know what it is, if it's the art, the atmosphere, the story, I'm sorry words can make justice to what I feel for this game. The game offers a LOT of mechanics, items, bosses, enemies, characters, npcs. synergies, ways of playing There are a few downsides. One of them is that some of the most fun game mechanics are hidden behind a meta progression that's unlocked by playing. Some of them makes you feel progression but others I felt that are essential things like rerolling that shouldn't be unlocked but that's my personal opinion. Also the game is not very well documented, the tutorial approaches a lot of things in the game but doesn't explain what is and how radiation works. I found out it by reaching the guides but those are outside of the game. Also the game has a very few ways to play with hp regen, but the more items you unlock, the bigger the pool of items from which you have to try to get what you're looking for. In the end there are so many items that in a way unlocking everything hurts you more than the added value of variety in your average run. This flaw is almost always present on every roguelike, I don't know why nobody wants to add a feature to limit the pool that's also from meta progression or something. Tl;dr: may not be complete but even if it's never completed it's worth to have in your library. A roguelike made with a lot of love and attention to detail. btw I checked the discord and the dev seems to have returned to work in this project so news may come eventually but I would manage my expectations
GOOD
It's nice
