As a big fan of both Balatro and Super Auto Pets this game is a cute deck builder with surprisingly easy mechanics to learn. I tried the game on easy mode and spamming the sapphire strategy (patent pending) I was able to get a W on my first attempt. I liked the character art and I'm sure if others try it out they will struggle a little more than I did (i am very good gamer) W game
Heard about this game from the High and Mighty podcast. The tutorial gave the me the impression this game would be a walk in the park but it is surprisingly challenging. I can see myself playing this frequently
I bought this game to support a fellow Poominati member. This will now be my "drink PED's and play while my wife studies at me" game. Its simple. Its as one hand, mouse only playable as it gets. The art is bright and fun. For a game made by one dude, its worth the few $$$. update- still fantastic when i want to play something lazily.

The core rules are simple: Play 1 component card and 1 action card per turn in hopes you power up your doomlaser before the end of a 7th turn, all the while the enemies try to sabotage you through various effects and rule changes. Component cards are the main way to power up your laser and are placed on fixed board spaces where the center space doubles the component's strength, so there is light strategy involved in placement. Between enemies you can add, remove or replace new cards or get artifacts that give you special passive abilities. This is where the deckbuilding happens and where you will need to be efficient in choosing the right cards and creating powerful synergies because the game doesn't hold punches (especially on harder difficulty) Despite the simple rules, there are plenty of meaningful choices: from cards you choose, to how you arrange components for maximum effect and which action cards to play. The best part? It plays very snappy. Each of the 15 levels plays in under 5 minutes, which makes it perfect thing to play in small breaks, plus there are additional cards and artifacts to unlock.
The positive
+ Quick to pick up + Snappy gameplay + Good deckbuilding focused on finding synergies. + Personally like the inclusion of animations
The neutral
* None
The negative
- At higher difficulty randomness feels it plays a very strong role. Sometimes you are not offered cards with good synergies and it quickly snowballs out of control. I wish there were more options to choose from to mitigate this. - For whatever reason, my graphic's card (ATI Radeon RX 580 Series) usage goes up to almost 100% when launching the game. Rather specific issue that I've been told didn't happen to other players, but it's worth mentioning.
Conclusion:
Small yet punchy fast paced deckbuilder focused on building synergies and smart card placement. Recommended. This is a fun and unique take on the roguelite deckbuilding genre. The gameplay is simple, the runs are fast and addictive, and the visual style (late-90's/early 2000's Cartoon Network vibe) and music are fantastic. It's not the most polished game, but that adds to its charm. It's a fun game from a small team and I highly recommend anyone who's into deckbuilding games try it out. Its mechanical twist (card position on a board mattering rather than just the order in which cards are played, if that makes sense) is fun and well-implemented, and there more than enough cards for surprising synergies to emerge. There are some QOL features that I think are lacking (no keyboard/controller support, no volume sliders) and the UI is has some pretty strong Newgrounds-Flash-game vibes (which works for me, but may not for others). But ultimately it's just fun and cute and I'm having a blast!
Hollywood Handbook Bump Great Pro Version
Great game so far.
Incredibly easy to pick up and fun with a great artstyle/vibe, then the depth continues to reveal itself and keep you hooked
Doomsday has around seven user reviews as of writing this but I believe it deserves more attention. This game is surprisingly thinky and tight for something I originally had pegged as a basic "get the number higher" roguelite. In terms of light criticism, the art style is far and away the best part about it but the UI is clearly an afterthought. It needs stronger haptic feedback; little jitters on the menus and screen shake to sell the satisfaction of the experience. The division of gem colors and dual opportunity of components and actions leads to thoughtful choices and niche, synergistic decks but some of the actions and components were too unwieldy or unreliable to make me want to add them to my deck. There's a whole lot of random in this strategy game. Whether or not the developer has long term updates in mind, I still thought the game was a pleasant surprise.
