This game 100/10. The greatest FPS I've ever played. I honestly can't believe I waited this long to play it. I bought DOOM 2016 on Steam about a year ago, and it just sat in my library while I kept telling myself, "I'll play it later." Biggest mistake. The moment I finally started, I couldn't put it down. Everything about this game is pure adrenaline. The combat is fast, brutal, and incredibly satisfying. Every weapon feels powerful, every Glory Kill feels earned, and the movement never slows down. The game constantly pushes you to stay aggressive instead of hiding behind cover. If you stop moving, you're dead. If you keep pushing, you're unstoppable. Then there's the soundtrack. absolutely cooked. The music doesn't just play in the background. It becomes part of the combat. Every heavy guitar riff makes you want to charge straight into another room full of demons. I don't think I've ever heard a soundtrack fit a game so perfectly. I still remember playing the original DOOM as a kid, and seeing the series return like this is incredible. This isn't just nostalgia done right. It's a masterclass in modern FPS design. The visuals still look fantastic. The weapon design is amazing. The gameplay loop never gets old. It reminds me why I love fast-paced games like Ghostrunner and Titanfall 2, but DOOM sits on top of that mountain for me. People keep telling me the game is tagged as "horror." Horror? For who? The demons should be the ones checking under their beds. I'm not trapped in Hell with them. They're trapped in Hell with me. I'm about halfway through the campaign, and I'm already looking forward to playing DOOM Eternal and eventually DOOM: The Dark Ages. If you love fast, skill-based shooters that respect your intelligence instead of drowning you in tutorials and cutscenes, play this game. One of the greatest FPS games ever made. 100/10.
