About
This isn't just a game—it's a raw, unfiltered scream against the soul-crushing grind of minimum wage work and the suffocating corporate machine.
Do you ever feel like it’s all too much? Like the game is rigged from the start? Your "manager" is lording over you for being three minutes late, your job is a cycle of mindless tasks, and life is slipping through your fingers. Welcome to your breaking point.

Don't Forget to Smile is a fast-paced survivors-like bullet heaven where you fight through relentless waves of everyday enemies. Armed with weapons inspired by - and mocking - industry, health and safety and technology, you’ll gear up, level up and reach your breaking point.

• 10+ Weapons to unlock, forged from the tools of industry and oppression.
• 15+ Augments to unlock, infused with industrial tech and medicine.
• Upgrade Shop (No, not real money! No microtransactions here)
• Hidden Synergies between weapons and augments unleash devastating effects.
• A Satirical Take on corporate culture, mental health, and the human condition.

Work your way up and out of the corporate ladder, smearing your oppressors across the screen as you shoot, stun, electrify, burn, explode, slap and squash your way to the good life.
All brought to life through a unique blend of hand-drawn artwork, 3D renders, and 2D animation.

Clearly a labour of love, with progression that hits the sweet spot. Feels fitting that its perfect to play a couple runs over a cheeky break at work, and the humour keeps dragging you back for more. Nicely done Existerror! Can't wait to see what projects you'll work on in the future :D
Superfun, if you enjoy vampire survivors you are going to love this!
Don’t Forget to Smile – A Review of My Descent Into Corporate Hell
I booted this up expecting to pick up some orbs, and maybe, if I was lucky, commit light corporate homicide. What I did not expect was to be spiritually attacked by a game that understands the exact flavour of existential misery that comes from minimum-wage work. Cheers for that, lads. My journey started with my character being immediately swarmed by what I can only describe as the physical manifestations of “your manager wants a word.” Before I’d even picked up my first weapon, I was having flashbacks to my old job, where being three minutes late was treated like I’d personally kicked the Queen. And the weapons? Mate. These are not normal weapons. These are spite-powered tools forged in the fires of every health-and-safety meeting that should’ve been an email. I unlocked one that genuinely made me laugh so hard I got hit by about twelve enemies and died instantly (Taser). Worth it. As the waves got busier, the screen absolutely exploded with particle effects. I’m talking fireworks, confetti, industrial accidents—little sparks of chaos everywhere. I had no idea what was happening, but I knew I was winning. Or losing. Hard to tell. Either way, it looked incredible. And that’s the thing: beneath the silliness and the satire, this game’s got depth. It’s funny, yeah, but it hits that weirdly relatable nerve of feeling stuck, burnt out, and ready to tell the corporate machine to get stuffed. Then it hands you a weapon that literalises that feeling in the most cathartic way possible. The art style ties it all together—hand-drawn, 3D bits, animations that feel slightly too alive at times (in a good “oh god why is this thing chasing me” way). You can really tell it was made by someone who poured time and actual soul into it, rather than a boardroom full of people trying to hit quarterly KPIs. And the fact it was built in spare time makes the polish even more ridiculous. To Jamie and Frank: I don’t know what combination of caffeine, rage, and creative energy birthed this game, but please keep doing whatever that is. In short: If you’ve ever worked a job that made you want to scream into a bin, this game is therapy. Violent therapy. With leaderboards.
Don’t forget to smile.
You won’t. The game won’t let you.
Existerror is full of ♥♥♥♥ boxes.
Really fun shooter game. The humour is spot on for anyone who's a "wage slave to da man", i even like the music. You can jump into this game at any time and have a blast. Can't wait to unlock new weapons and abilities
Highly addictive and thoroughly enjoyable gameplay. At times i found the game hilarious as the journey descends into madness carnage and a wonderful commentary on the stresses and strains of everyday living within a corporate environment. Absolutely Fantastic!
Been following this through development and have enjoyed any and all iterations of it and even more so the release! I used to enjoy Vampire Survivors but now struggle to, as it doesn't have a dodge roll. Cannot express how much tactical fun it adds!! That and the banging soundtrack and puerile humour! Would recommend to anyone who had the VS experience and now want that little more - trying all the different weapons is fun and working hard to get those Synergies (Which, as well, you choose when to trigger, not automatically!) make for a much more tight / fight for your life feel.
Great little vampire survivor project with a sort of nihilist perspective on life. First dev project. Worth the price tag for what you get. Most of my time is on the beta testing. I was gifted the game for helping with the beta testing. Give a first time dev a shot!
A creative and crazy addition to the bullet hell genre. Filled with upgrades, violence and chaos Don't Forget to Smile is a brilliant action packed game from the get go. To top it off a fantastic soundtrack to keep the adrenaline flowing. This project has been given a lot of time and love and as a first time developer I think Existerror have hit it out the park. Definitely going to be coming back to this over and over. Check this game out and support an up and coming developer!
This is a crazy take on this ever growing genre. It harsh, it provoking, but first of it FUN! You are a worker who need to survive in this crazy world we have. In this case the game use silly graphics and sound effects to bring the dizzy chaotic feeling. The feedback system on its place both in menu and gameplay, many juice effects and sounds. Overall a quality work with active Dash to kill enemies, variety of skills, evolves, passives, Meta progress and database. Come work hard for companies and DON'T FORGET TO SMILE. :)
Slightly lower playtime I know, but I were a beta tester also! DFTS has come a long way and is really enjoyable, colourful, chaotic; with a nice dash of cynicism. Great time killer with a fun gameplay loop and a decent amount to unlock - thumbs up from me and looking forward to further updates 👌
