This game just doesn't live up to the hype. I've seen people compare it to an ARPG and it's NOTHING like that. It's more like a really REALLY basic survivor game that ends one of two ways: You keep going until you get bored and quit because your build is too good and everything melts under your waves of infinite damage, meaning there's zero challenge and bosses are onscreen for like 3 frames before dying. OR Your damage is not high enough, a stray bullet hits you and deals 15 times your max life in a single hit, and you go back to base to adjust numbers and hope RNG doesn't screw you over so that you don't have to go back to the first option for 5 hours to grind for gear to re-roll again. That's more or less the loop. It's all just grinding gear to make number go up because skills are VERY limited. You effectively have like 1-2 viable builds per character and that's entirely gear dependent so you could want to make one type of build and just never get gear for that build. Wanna play pyromancer? too bad, it's terrible and has no wave clear. A level 3 arrow spammer can destroy mobs your level 30 pyromancer can't touch because DoT in an auto-scroller is pretty bad. Just lots of balance issues. Beastmaster is STILL terrible, so bad in fact that even after buffs, it's horrid. It's bad by design, not because it needs a few percent of number shifts.
Nails the "numbers go up, loot goes brrr" formular. Dev is incredbily responsive, fixing most bugs just hours after the report.
Absolutely lovely! Permanent Path of Exile style loot mixed with auto-scrolling rougelike gameplay and Diablo 2 style skill trees. Just ticks all the right boxes for me and is clearly made by someone who cares about these gameplay elements and understands what makes them fun.
Very disappointing. I play and love many rogue-likes, survivor-likes, arpgs, and even 'number go up' incremental/idle games. Based on the game description and many reviews, the game should be a great mashup of my favourite game mechanics. In reality the gameplay is somehow less engaging than even a basic idle game. There is only one direction of travel, all of the skills feel basically the same. The survivors-type leveling upgrades are minor stat boosts that make no difference to the gameplay. The gearing system has an unintuitive and clunky interface, and doesn't feel rewarding in any way. The skill tree isn't horrible, but every skill is essentially the same because they can all cover most f the narrow single-dimensional play area. There are many small UI bugs such as the ultimate icon being X while requiring Y to be pressed that suggest the dev doesn't test/play this game, or perhaps it was entirely vibe coded. It is so unengaging that I suspect the majority of positive reviews must be paid/bots. Unfortunately, in the spirit of giving this game a fair try I played past the refund window.
Gonna keep it simple, this is Vampire Survivors + POE(lite edition)!! If either of those games are fun to you, or you've been intimidated by POE but want to try it, give this game a try! I love love LOVE it, and everyone that I've recommended it to has loved it too! This game deserves a LOT more attention, and I hope that it gets it soon. :)
I am absolutely in love with this game! I was looking for a game that scales (like this), that challenges you to get better and better whilst also being an absolute chill experience and it is THAT! It definitely is the type of game, as someone else said, leaves you thinking "hm... maybe just one more run?" I am also part of the Discord and the Dan the Dev is so friendly and responsive! Your feedback and suggestions you can count on to at least be quickly responded to be Dan and instantly considered. He definitely values ever member of the Discord and purchaser of this game. If you have a stressful life and want something progressive and chill. GO for it!! LOVE LOVE LOVE x

Not able to rebind keys and now nothing work. Do not recommend at all.
This game doesn't care if you break it, 10/10
This game is a lot of fun. Very deep for a solo dev indie game. The games discord is active and helpful as well. Really looking forward to the continued updates. The game keeps you coming back for 1 more run. Its like POE, Diablo, and Last Epoch but in quicker spurts. I want to say without the time investment, but the hours will keep adding up.
