Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 19.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dokimon Quest was made in MonTamer Maker (MonMae, also known as Luna), a platform/engine built specifically for making monster tamer games. The engine keeps growing thanks to its devs and community — so making new Dokimon Quest (and similar) titles is within arm's reach, even for you.
"Watch out!" "You almost just got singed by a Burnsby!! Didn't you know? They may be cute and cuddly, but they hide amongst plush animals, and strike out at unsuspecting prey. Their cute demeanor can quickly send you on a trip to the hospital!"

Professor Rei: "Oh, hey! I didn't see you there. I was practicing my lines for... err, nevermind."
"My name is Rei! I've made a bit of a name for myself as a Dokimon specialist. Ever since the Great Divide, I've made it my mission to thoroughly document Dokimon on Earth. Dokimon are extremely dangerous creatures, so studying them profusely helps ensure everyone's safety. You probably already knew that, though..."
"But anyway, what are you still doing here? Go play the game already!"

p.s. There is a Dokimon Wiki with information about all monsters, tips, guides, and more. If you're interested, check the Dokimon Quest Steam Community Hub, or search "Dokimon Wiki" in your favorite search engine.

Nice game <3
This game leaves me feeling conflicted. On one hand, it is clearly a passion project made with a lot of love and care. On the other hand, the game itself is EXTREMELY rough. The tone kept swapping from not taking itself seriously to taking itself way too seriously. And the plot really felt rushed especially near the end of the game. The gameplay itself is fine, almost one to one with the classic Pokémon games. Some of the creature designs are neat, while sadly some leave a lot to be desired. The music is produced well, but it is kinda jarring to go from classic chip tunes to a melodic piano piece whenever something, "dramatic" is occurring. Overall, it is not an awful game. However, it really needs some extra polish before I can recommend it at full price.

It's every kids dream to make its own pokemon game! While Dokimon Quest is not perfect, it has great Gen 1 vibes with its visuals and music. If you're looking to scratch that itch, give it a go!
He jugado en mi infancia a Pokemon Amarillo y Oro. Totalmente recomendado.

It is good, I had fun, but maybe it is because I really, really love old Pokémon games. There are dozens of things I would change in this game. Too many to say in a Steam review, but what I'll say is this: If instead of just trying to make a Pokemon game without getting sued, this dev should try to make something more focused on its own identity. They clearly have the creativity to do so. The game is beautiful, some of the songs are delightful to hear, they did a great job with the map, the Dokimons look really cool and the story, well, a little rough around the edges but good overall. It could use some work, but it is original and that is what matters. Every time the game tries to be original, it succeeds. Every time it tries to make a Pokemon reference, it comes off as cringe or lame. It ruins the immersion the game builds. Same as the lame constant fourth-wall breaking. Palworld has proven that you can make a game about catching "mons" and battling with them without it being Pokemon. You can make a look-alike game with a different IP. You don't need to call your grass starter "Bulbapod", have a Pokémon OST reference for the final boss of the alt-region or do some ♥♥♥♥ like that. And I don't care about people copying Pokemon, I say that you should focus on making your own thing because I genuinely believe you can make something better.
Really cute and cool pokemon-like game! Doesnt have that many soundtracks but the few it has are all really good, the story is really well told and its really fun to read some interesting interactions. 10/10
unfortunately there is a game breaking bug that makes it so if you enter the area that you unlock after beating all rangers and back out immediately you no longer can go in the area no matter what you do which is why i will now be quitting this game but other than that unfortunate and quite absurd game breaker the game was fun
