Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 19.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dokimon Quest was made in MonTamer Maker (MonMae, also known as Luna), a platform/engine built specifically for making monster tamer games. The engine keeps growing thanks to its devs and community — so making new Dokimon Quest (and similar) titles is within arm's reach, even for you.
"Watch out!" "You almost just got singed by a Burnsby!! Didn't you know? They may be cute and cuddly, but they hide amongst plush animals, and strike out at unsuspecting prey. Their cute demeanor can quickly send you on a trip to the hospital!"

Professor Rei: "Oh, hey! I didn't see you there. I was practicing my lines for... err, nevermind."
"My name is Rei! I've made a bit of a name for myself as a Dokimon specialist. Ever since the Great Divide, I've made it my mission to thoroughly document Dokimon on Earth. Dokimon are extremely dangerous creatures, so studying them profusely helps ensure everyone's safety. You probably already knew that, though..."
"But anyway, what are you still doing here? Go play the game already!"

p.s. There is a Dokimon Wiki with information about all monsters, tips, guides, and more. If you're interested, check the Dokimon Quest Steam Community Hub, or search "Dokimon Wiki" in your favorite search engine.

⭐ A Charming Monster-Taming RPG That Gets the Basics Right

🎮 Introduction Dokimon: Quest was a surprisingly enjoyable experience. At first glance, it looks like a classic monster-taming RPG inspired by the Game Boy Color era, but it adds enough modern quality-of-life features to make the formula much more comfortable to play today. The retro presentation, exploration and team-building immediately create that familiar feeling of "just one more battle, just one more area." It's a straightforward formula, but the game understands why it works. 🔥 Gameplay The core of Dokimon: Quest is turn-based combat combined with catching, training and evolving your Dokimon. You build a team of up to six creatures and need to pay attention to types, abilities and stats to get the most out of your lineup. It doesn't try to completely reinvent the genre, and that's actually one of its strengths. Instead, it takes a familiar formula and adds useful quality-of-life features such as faster battles, stat and move management in towns, optional battle assistance and a quest journal. Exploration is another strong point. Moving between towns, caves, temples, mountains and other areas gives the adventure a nice sense of progression, while the large creature roster keeps exploration rewarding. With around 140 unique Dokimon to collect, there's always another creature worth searching for. 🎨 Graphics & Audio The visual style is unapologetically retro, and the pixel art has plenty of personality. It fits the game's concept extremely well rather than simply looking old for the sake of nostalgia. I especially appreciate the different visual customization options, including multiple retro color palettes. You can push the presentation closer to the classic handheld look or make it more colorful. The soundtrack also fits the atmosphere nicely, combining 8-bit sounds with piano. It's not trying to compete with big-budget productions, but the artistic direction feels consistent and purposeful throughout the adventure. ⚖️ Difficulty & Progression Progression revolves around strengthening your team, finding better creatures and preparing for increasingly dangerous areas. The ability to further customize your Dokimon's stats gives team building more depth than simply relying on levels. Experimenting with different creatures and builds can make a noticeable difference in how you approach battles. The game also does a good job of giving completion-minded players reasons to keep exploring. Rare creatures and post-game objectives provide additional goals after the main story is finished. 🧩 Fun & Replayability The gameplay loop is simple and effective: Explore → find creatures → build your team → battle → get stronger → explore further. It's a familiar structure, but it's satisfying when you enjoy collecting creatures and experimenting with different teams. The main story is also reasonably compact at around 15–20 hours, while collecting creatures, hunting rare variants, earning achievements and exploring post-game content can extend the experience considerably. ✅ Conclusion Recommended. Dokimon: Quest is a great pick for anyone who misses classic monster-taming RPGs and wants something that captures that old-school feeling without being completely stuck in the past. It doesn't need to reinvent the genre to be enjoyable. Its biggest strength is understanding what makes this type of RPG fun and delivering a focused, charming adventure with plenty of room for exploration and collection. If you enjoy turn-based RPGs, exploration, creature collecting and retro aesthetics, Dokimon: Quest is absolutely worth checking out. A small RPG with a surprising amount of personality. We need Chinese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i would smash all the DokiMon
i do enjoy this game and i do reccomend it, theres just some small nagging things i want to mention that i think contributes to why some people feel that the game feels a bit off the movement first, well its more the choice to not let the player bump into things, but instead make the player sort of auto move around it, while i get the idea behind it, it does feel a bit weird and id rather i think bump into things than being forced to move around, its also a bit inconsistent the battle sprites themselves are cute and good, whats really lacking from battles is sound effects and basically confirmation that things are happening, there should be a level up sound for example, also its weird that there's an exp share on at all times, i would have thought that there wouldnt be since its not a very liked mechanic in pokemon which this game ofc is inspiried by, though maybe there is a way to turn it off this is a personal thing but i never liked the change in scarlet and violet to make every trainer optional, i much prefer the flow of forced battles on sight there should i think also be sound when a dokimion faints, i may be wrong but i feel that the only sounds in battle are the music and sfx from attacks, without the other sound effects it makes the battle feel slowler than it is. and theres less oomph in the things that happen the creature designs and general overworld sprite work is really noce though, i love the style of the game and the music is nice, very cool that there are piano renditions of the songs but the things mentioned above are my main critizism and i hope in the sequel it will feel a bit better moment to moment because there is a really good game in here somewhere ofc all of this might just be me not being used to the game i also wish i could change the keybindings, id rather have A and B at Z and X because im used to that from emulators also i think mby you get too much exp from battles tho ig the opposite is worse because grinding is annoying and a more casual experience is totally ok i do have to say seeing alot of negative reviews getting lost super early in the game really makes me understand why gamefreak makes their games super handholdy lol
Felt like the childhood I always wanted <3
