In this retelling of Dante's origin story which is set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC Devil May Cry™ retains the stylish action.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.71/day in the week to Aug 25 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm not a hardcore DMC fan, but I do enjoy DMC3, 4 and 5. That said... this one *had* all the makings of a good DMC game, even if different combat-wise. Problem is... you can't hardly move 3 feet or around any corner without SOME kind of cutscene. Its insane. It totally breaks up the flow in what is ultimately a game series all about combat flow and adventure. I don't know if it opens up later, but a few levels in and the map design is severely lacking and ultralinear as well. I want the old DMC1 sales pitch style of "Resident Evil but it has insanely fast action, swords, demons and angels!" not whatever this on-rails stuff is. Pretty sad. Graphically, the game aged very well and I love the over-the-top intro and attitude. It works well as an alt-history DMC1 story. But in a game about flow and style... the constant cuts and interruptions to flow is both sad and ironic

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 9: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Not in a million years. 0/10 (Okay, maybe the combat deserves a point. The rest can stay in the dumpster.) Devil May Cry is known for being over-the-top, stylish, and hilarious without trying too hard. This game looked at that formula and said, "What if we replaced all of it with edgy teenager energy?" Congratulations. You made the "hide this from your parents because it has alcohol and strippers" version of Devil May Cry. I tried to give this game a fair chance. wallah, I did. I thought, "Okay, maybe it's edgy, but the story could still be good." It wasn't. The story is awful. The characters are awful. The bosses are mediocre. But somehow that's not even the worst part. Let's talk about Vergil. Actually, no. Virgin, because that's what this game turned him into. My GOAT, Vergoat, wields the Yamato—a katana that literally cuts through space itself. This man is normally one of the greatest bosses in gaming. So what does "Virgin" do with this legendary weapon? He uses a tactical assault rifle. I wish I was joking. Vergoat makes me feel alive. Virgin makes me want to unload every bullet from Ebony and Ivory into my own skull. Now for Donte. The real Dante is effortlessly cool. He doesn't need to tell you he's cool—you just know. Donte, meanwhile, is trying so hard to be cool that it's physically painful to watch. Every line sounds like it was written by a fourteen-year-old who just discovered energy drinks. The enemies? A nothing sandwich. Just an endless parade of annoying pieces of demon ♥♥♥♥. Then we reach the combat, which is supposed to be the HEART of Devil May Cry. Somehow they made it easy, boring, and unrewarding. The entire point of DMC is learning how to look stylish while beating demons. Instead: - Half the moves are useless. - The weapons barely complement each other. - There's almost no satisfaction in mastering anything. AND THERE ARE ARENT EVEN ENOUGH MOVES TO BEGIN WITH Even The Void, the training area, is blindingly white. My retinas wanted to do bad things to me. Then there's Devil Trigger. Normally DT is awesome. You become a demon, hit harder, heal yourself, and feel unstoppable. Here? You barely build enough full DT to use it once per mission. Then when you FINALLY activate it... It lasts about three seconds. And instead of becoming an awesome demon... You just make enemies float. who thought this was a good idea? idk Finally... The graphics. I played at 144 FPS. Gameplay is smooth. Then every cutscene goes: Black screen... 0.5 seconds of nothing... 30 FPS cutscene. In conclusion: This isn't Devil May Cry. this feels like someone ripped off he assets and rights of devil may cry and was like "yeah lemme do my own thing" If you want to play DMC, play literally any of the mainline games instead.
This game is awesome. Combat is varied, fluid and satisfying, which is what you want in DMC. Props to the game designers to have chosen the fresh but harder path instead and still have the game absolutely kick ass. You did not deserve the hate this game got when launched, where it had Mixed review for quite a long time. Fortunately time places things in their place.
know this game is controversial, but I honestly loved it. The combat is smooth, the level design is creative, and the visuals still look great. It may be different from the main series, but it's a fantastic action game on its own. Definitely worth playing!
It's a fun hack and slash to get on sale. It has some interesting boss fights and cool weapons to mess around with. Everything aside from the combat is underwhelming tho. The story needs no introduction, but the mediocre platforming also stuck out like a sore thumb. All you need to do in SO MANY sections is press the right grapple hook button (L2 or R2) and it gets old fast.
DmC: Devil May Cry Or as I would call it: DmC Origins. The first time I saw this game was around 13 years ago when my older cousin played it on PS3. I instantly fell in love with it, and after finally playing it myself years later… yeah, I still love it. This game tells a completely different story from the main series and focuses on the younger years of Dante and Vergil. At first many fans hated the reboot idea, and honestly… I get why, there are a lot of bad reboots. But after actually playing it, I must admit: this one is REALLY good. Graphics and atmosphere Graphics and lighting are spectacular. There are tons of great visual effects, and Limbo City itself looks insane. The world constantly changes around you, buildings move, streets twist, walls talk to you… it feels stylish, creepy and unique at the same time. Combat Combat is much faster than in previous games and also MUCH easier. If you played older Devil May Cry games on normal difficulty, you should probably start this one on hard. Dante feels far more responsive, controls are smooth, and weapon switching works perfectly. The new weapons are awesome and fun to use, although in my opinion you unlock them a bit too quickly. The game barely gives you time to fully enjoy one before throwing another at you. Camera The camera is FINALLY FREE. No more fighting against awkward camera angles sabotaging your gameplay. Honestly, after playing older DMC games this feels like technology discovered by ancient aliens. Story and characters The reboot changes Dante a lot. He is younger, more arrogant and much more rebellious. Some people hate this version of him, others like it. Personally, I think he fits the story they wanted to tell perfectly. And honestly… I love this version of Dante. The relationship between Dante and Vergil is also one of the strongest parts of the game and gives the reboot its own identity instead of simply copying the originals. We also get glimpses of their childhood and learn more about Sparda and Eva, which adds even more depth to the story. Music And the music… dear God. It is almost like angels themselves came down to Earth just to compose this soundtrack. The tracks fit the action, atmosphere and insanity happening on screen perfectly. Some fights genuinely would not feel half as cool without them. Final words DmC: Devil May Cry is a surprisingly good reboot that probably would have been received much better if it had a different title. It is stylish, fast, visually impressive and genuinely fun to play. Not a perfect Devil May Cry, but it definitely does not deserve the hate it gets. It's a really great game.
