About
Off to the next round! Experience a new omnibus simulator with OMSI 2 and start discovering Spandau while driving the omnibus. OMSI 2 is the successor of the well-known and awarded omnibus simulator "OMSI - The Bus Simulator". OMSI 2 not only offers the routes and buses you already know from OMSI, but adds lots of exciting new features. In OMSI 2 you can drive the first ever articulated bus in the OMSI history, the MAN NG272. Explore the new omnibus line 5 covering a total distance of 12 km from the subway station Ruhleben to the psychiatric clinic Spandau. Thanks to the newly added chronology function you´ll not only be able to drive through Spandau in 1986, but also to relive the changes taking place in Spandau between 1986 and 1994.
Enjoy the charm of the 80s and 90s and find out how the period after the fall of the Berlin Wall was. And this all at wheel of a double-decker or articulated bus.

The articulated bus MAN NG272 with the exact physical and visual recreation of the joint kinematics as well as corresponding sounds and systems (bending protection).
The MAN NL202 as well as reworked and added models of the known types SD200 and SD202 (more years of production, emergency door openers, destination boards, sound variations depending on vehicle number).
The Spandau omnibus line 5 from the subway station Ruhleben to the psychiatric clinic Spandau covering a total distance of 12 km, several new buildings, a squeezed timetable and a tight 5 minute rhythm with various bus termini and assignments for diverse and long lasting driving pleasure.
Replication of original timetables and tour plans for omnibus lines 5 and 92.
Chronology function: Relive the change taking place in Spandau between 1986 and 1994! OMSI 2 now replicates the exciting years following the German reunification and all the innovations and route expansions (line 137 to Falkensee) that came along with it. This function also allows temporary changes to maps or routes caused by construction sites or special buses.
Advanced and improved AI traffic (better road- and steering behaviour, railway- and subway traffic)
System damage model including different malfunctions which take time to fix
OMSI 2 supports a world coordinate system so it is possible to import a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) with the help of a DLL you can even program yourself.
Animated real vertical profile on the Spandau map
New script functions such as full matrix view, advanced access to system variables.
New editor functions: automatic import of aerial imagery, terrain adapts to run of the road, improved spline connection algorithm, rotation of objects around all axes. Intersections can easily be equipped with individual vertical profiles.
Saving optimized loading of maps which allows considerably larger maps
The classic versions of the MAN double-decker buses SD200 and SD202 are included
Realistic and intelligent traffic and detailed landscape
Realistic and controllable weather and seasonal effects
Realistic day and night effects
Many animations and animated objects
Fully functional IBIS (integrated on-board information system)
Four different views: driver sight, passenger sight, exterior view or free view
Script engine to influence the handling characteristics and functions of the bus
Easy to use, map-based track editorInsert your own vehicles
Compatible with TrackIR 5

I came to from Euro Truck Simulator 2, and honestly what a difference. Let me start with the only real reason this game is still alive. The physics. OMSI 2 probably has the most realistic bus physics in the entire bus simulator genre. The weight transfer, braking feel, and suspension movement all feel fantastic. Combined with the huge amount of (paid) bus models, many of which sound and handle great, there is a solid driving experience buried in here. But everything else is honestly horrible. The game feels like semi abandonware at this point. The GUI looks like it was pulled straight out of the late 90s, and the technology behind it feels just as dated. Menus are clunky and confusing. While you can technically learn your way around them, as a new player it is incredibly frustrating. Nothing feels intuitive. Performance is another major issue. Maps load in chunks, and every time they do the game stutters or hangs. On modern hardware this should not be happening. The fact that you have to manually patch the game to allow it to use more than 4GB of RAM in 2026 is honestly ridiculous. Controller support is barely functional. If you do not have a proper steering wheel setup, do not buy this game. Playing with a controller feels like an afterthought. Another huge problem is the translation. The game is not fully translated into English. Many important parts are still in German, including critical gameplay elements like setting up routes. For non German speakers this makes learning the game unnecessarily difficult. Basic settings are also missing. There is no proper FOV slider and only limited ability to adjust driver position. A surprising amount of standard quality of life options are simply not there. For a simulator this is a big deal. The AI is equally outdated. It can only follow exact road paths and will simply stop when they encounter you instead of behaving dynamically. It completely breaks immersion. The only other redeeming factor besides physics is the community. Modders are basically the ones keeping this game playable. Without them, OMSI 2 would be long gone. At this point I genuinely cannot wait until SCS Software adds coaches to ETS2, because bus fans deserve something modern and properly supported. OMSI 2 has incredible driving physics, but everything surrounding that core is painfully outdated, clunky, and frustrating. Unless you are a hardcore bus sim enthusiast with a steering wheel and a lot of patience, I cannot recommend it.
bu amına kodumun oyununa optimizasyon güncellemesi gelse diğer otobüs oyunlarını siker atar ama ısrarla getirmiyorsunuz
The people behind it would rather release 115 paid DLCs than move on from the severely outdated game engine. The game is also incredibly overpriced for what it is. The level of detail in these buses is amazing. I also love the 80-90's automotive world, so this really speaks to me, but the performance is terrible... If you're going to play this, download the 4GB patch!

OMSI 2 is poorly optimized, the graphics aren't great, the textures are bad but can be overcome. This isn't a lot of DLCs that cost upwards of £20, but there is a strong modding community who can add lots of new customisation to the game such as new maps, busses, and liveries so don’t worry about this when you first play. OMSI 2 is a tough simulator to get started with. I spent at least an hour, configuring settings for my steering wheel, and learning all the different buttons on the bus dashboard but all the workings of the timetabling systems. Once you know what to do, this game is very fun! Performance, don't expect much. This is one of the downsides, it is quite badly optimised. I reach anywhere from 20-60 frames, and experience frequent micro-stutters and freezes during gameplay, however If you did research before purchasing you should know this is the case. Driving the buses feels perfect, the physics, and feel of the busses is very well executed. I've never driven a real bus, but I think this could be considered close. For those who really want to drive a realistic feeling bus, while choosing routes and lines on the IBIS system, keeping an eye on on-board temperatures, and sticking to a tight schedule, you should think of purchasing OMSI 2. The price is quite high, but if you grab the game on a deal or use a cheeky steam key, you can get it for a lot cheaper. In Conclusion: You should definitely think of purchasing OMSI 2 if you: - Don’t worry about experiencing frequent micro-stutters and freezes - Don’t worry about experiencing poor graphics - Don’t mind taking time to learn the buses and controls - Driving like a real driver – your passengers will complain
I bought this in 2015 and it didn't work on my then laptop. I forgot to refund it and moved on. Now in 2026 with a souped up modern machine, I reinstalled it...and it still doesn't work! 0/10!
Very unstable, you have to mess with several settings just to have it run decently, I know the developers don't really care about this game, but hopefully they consider caring in the future.
This game is totally outdated and still full of bugs. If you have just bought, refund it immediately.
