Have you ever heard of the term "Hidden gem"? Well, this game is a prime example. I bought this game long ago in early access and gave it a run for a few tries, before putting it back on the shelf. It's not like I didn't like it, but you know, sometimes this game is just not what you are looking for. And here I am, years later, VR Ready PC, my first VR Headset, decided to go for Quest 3, but that's not really important. I launch SteamVR and see that I have 4 VR games. Distance was one of them. It's not that big, so it downloaded almost instantly. I was like, hey, I remember that game, it was fun. I wonder how it feels in VR. Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. It feels amazing. It does a better job at immersion than Formula 1 in VR. The setting, the music, the car cockpit, it's fire. This game is like, as if Motorstorm had a wild one with Cyberpunk and was set in the setting of an ancient game from PSP called "Wipeout Pulse". And they managed to make this game into a horror with that Obelisk, which reminds me of Dead Space. There is so much cool stuff about this game despite its relatively small size! This game is not easy for newcomers, no, no, in fact it's really hostile and you will crash a lot. But I can tell you this much: I am sure it can run on any potato and you will have fun guaranteed. The way the car cockpit is made cannot be described in words, you need to see it yourself if you have a VR headset. The damage is also visual, so if your windshield gets cracks they will stay there until the next checkpoint. That includes other damage to the car. However, there is a major minus. VR headset controls don't work for some reason, and it's a known issue, so this is a game which you play laying in your gaming chair with your hands on the keyboard. It is better this way and I think that this is exactly how this game should be played, I would recommend using a gamepad or a wheel though, because the turns with the keys are a bit harsh so you can get seasickness and crash. This game is about reaction time too. So you need to dodge barriers, jump and fly around. And yeah, flying sucks ass with the keyboard control for the same reason. Not smooth enough. Solid 8/10, a must have for anyone who is new to VR or someone who wants to add a new game to their VR games collection!

This game is the best i loved playing this game i enjoyed it so much i cant even descripe it i have all achievments in this game but that doesnt mean i will stop playing it i will never stop playing it this is really a fun and beautiful expirience and Distance will stay in my heart. If anyone wants to buy it please do it because you will enjoy it. I hope it will get another update with something cool.
