About
DinoSystem is a living prehistoric ecosystem where everything is connected.
Play as a godlike overseer and shape the island from above, or enter the world as a human and try to survive inside it.
In God Mode, you can observe and manipulate the ecosystem, alter the environment, control animals and experiment with the systems that keep the island alive.
In Survival Mode, you are just another creature in that world. Find food and water, build shelter, hunt, fish, craft tools and learn how to live alongside the animals around you.
The island is not built around you. It keeps changing whether you interfere or not.
Animals are born, grow, reproduce, age and die. Plants grow according to environmental conditions. Water flows through the terrain and collects in puddles, rivers and lakes. Weather changes the world around you.
Every creature needs food, water and shelter. Predators depend on prey. Herbivores depend on vegetation. Populations can grow, migrate, decline or disappear depending on what happens around them.
There are no scripted encounters designed to keep you entertained.
The world simply keeps running.
You can interfere with it, study it, exploit it or simply try to survive inside it.
Survival is not just about managing an inventory.
Your body changes according to the way you live.
Food affects your nutrition and body composition. Physical activity affects your stamina and muscle. Temperature, hydration, sleep and exertion all interact with your physical condition.
Eat too much and you can gain weight.
Work hard and your body adapts.
Stay cold, hungry, dehydrated or exhausted for too long and your performance suffers.
Your character is not just a collection of statistics. Your physical condition is part of the simulation.
DinoSystem is built around systems that interact with one another rather than existing as isolated features.
Weather affects temperature and water.
Water affects vegetation.
Vegetation affects herbivores.
Herbivores affect predators.
Your actions can alter these relationships in ways that are not always predictable.
The island is procedurally generated, with different terrain, vegetation and water systems creating a different environment each time.
You can hunt, fish, gather, farm, craft, build and explore, but none of these activities exist in isolation from the world around you.
There are dinosaurs, mammals, birds, reptiles and other animals, each with their own needs and behaviours.
There are seasons, changing weather, fires, reproduction, aging, diseases, injuries and many other systems working together beneath the surface.
The result is a world that can produce situations the game never explicitly planned.
There is no single correct way to play DinoSystem.
You can build a safe home and live off the land.
You can become a hunter.
You can fish, farm or gather.
You can explore the island and adapt to whatever you find.
Or you can simply observe the ecosystem and see what happens.
If you want to experiment, God Mode lets you interfere with the world directly.
If you want to test yourself, Survival Mode puts you inside the simulation with nothing guaranteed.
The same world powers both experiences.
You are simply looking at it from a different perspective.
DinoSystem is a solo-developed project and is still being expanded and refined.
Both game modes and the core simulation are playable now. Late-game variety and the remaining God Mode tools are still being improved on the road to version 1.0.

There's really nothing quite like Dinosystem. The layers of simulation bring a depth and practicality to the game that's very impressive. While it's difficult to survive I find it relaxing. As far as survival games go it's so satisfying and fair as you're just trying to find a way to come out ahead in the simulated world. Very worth the buy if you're a fan of the genre.
A truly hidden gem, I have no doubt this game is capable of being a forever game, infinite playability in early access? I already know what to expect from full release.
This game is a pretty good "realistic" survival game. For me, there's a fine line between realism and painfully slow and irritating gameplay, and this game manages to make the realistic aspects not too intrusive, but still present. You wont have to worry about getting a micro-cut from some random thorn, and dying from a terrible infection two hours later. But you still have to manage your vitamins and keep your diet varied as to stay strong enough to survive. Overall I give this game a 9/10. Its almost perfect if not for the lack of content, but its a one-man project, so I wont complain much about it.
One of the best Eco-System' Simulations. it Need Alot of work but the core aspects of a great game is in the works! 10/10!
Really nice single player game can get really hard tho on your first few hours took me 4 hours to find out how to craft but overall this game has potential
i had to watch a guide to know how to play properly, now that i know somewhat what im doing its a good little survival game. my first review was mostly me being frustrated with everything being rather undercooked though these thing can be fixed with future updates. i do want to recommend a better animal verity particularly small huntable animals are rare in my experience even after the guide. also the crafting needs to be expanded a bit right now we dont have alot of things to craft
