About
Earth’s population is on the verge of a global resource crisis. Can you build the spaceship on time and earn one more chance for humankind? Hurry, you only have only 30 days left!
Screen the visitors dying to get off the planet and more than willing to risk being turned into canned food, incinerated or hired as one of the factory’s employees. The pros and cons of each fate are debatable.
Manage the factory floor, construct new facilities and upgrade the research center. Resources are finite, so try to make sure things don’t fall apart before the ship takes off.
Hire staff with unique quirks, fears and prejudices. Promote hard workers and keep them pampered with improved amenities. As for the lazy ones…they get sent to a special room in the darkest corner of the factory.
Juggle orders from competing organizations and be sure to meet your weekly quota to keep the higher-ups happy. Remember – you are alive as long as you are useful.

A very good idea with poor execution. The game just gets more and more annoying the further into the game you get as there's more and more to juggle with little reward. In factorio you gain additional tools to handle the increased complexity of your tasks. In this game, not so. You can purchase speed upgrades, and that's about it. No new tools to counter the personality disorders new hires have, little compensation for the massive constraints put on you by faction rulings other than the 2 minor abilities they give you, and little to counter the other stacking annoyances. I feel like I'm nearing the end of the game, but I just don't want to keep playing anymore. This game was good for like the first third. They clearly had a good idea, and were right to pursue it into a full game. But they failed the transition to late-game.
They tried to mix up the Papers Please formula by including a management feature and, while it was a creative idea, it falls flat. It leaves the user flipping between two screens only for both aspects of the game to feel neglected. I'm probably a third of the way through the story and so far all choices are driven largely by whether or not you want to make money more than any sort of moral or ideological dilemma. It's those aspects that make Papers Please what it is, so removing them from a game clearly inspired by it feels wrong. Not to mention, there's no real dilemma about who to chose for harvesting and who to place on the Ark since everyone is happy to die and there's little consequence if you just alternate who goes where. Even when you are making lots of money, it's not immediately clear what you're supposed to do with it. Turns out you can upgrade rooms or buy new rooms. I assume the new rooms allow you to make more money, but this isn't completely clear either. Managing your employees is a giant hassle because you can't see their needs from the papers screen, hence the constant flipping back and forth because if your employees experience stress, they instantly gain a debuff. tldr; In some ways the game is too easy, in others it's too tedious. So far, there's nothing rewarding about the story. I'll probably keep playing just to see if it can change my mind, but at 4 hours, a player should feel excited to continue a game rather than obligated. This game is for players who liked Papers Please, but hate being told what to do.
Okay, first of all, the game is a great management game. I felt like I was playing a mix between Papers Please and a bit of Beholder. Now, while I enjoyed it, the game is very stressful. I found it hard to manage it all (specially at the start, once you complete The Ark it becomes easier), the orders, the fuel, the money, the factions... I barely even used faction favors. There are definitively way too many options and features in the game imo, so it's a bit of a challenge. Tasks are not difficult to complete once you understand how the game works, (that took me a little bit, the guide and tutorial are there, but they are pretty intense) and money is very important at the start. One of the things I liked the most was the option to replay a different path of the same day and still have several different save games for that same day, with different outcomes. I replayed early days a lot because: 1) I didn't do very good at the start, it took me some time to learn every feature 2) Still I wasn't able to not fail some of the orders, so I had to repeat 3) Hard to understand how the factory worked 4) I just wanted better results to start ahead on next days once I learned to use the factory correctly And one of the things I disliked the most was the length of the factions levels (I couldn't even reach the max level on any of them on my gameplay) and the pro and cons of unlocking another level. This again has to do with the "way too many features" thing. Despite the stress, I really liked the game, I played the last 10 days nonstop . It has a lot of replayability since you get different outcomes depending on your actions (I only unlocked 1 ending so far, not sure if I will try for the rest of them or just unlock a few other achievements), but for the 100% you really need to replay the game and win with each faction. I'm susprised by the low amount of reviews it has. Don't sleep on this game, give it a chance, it's very ambitious and it really turned out great.

They tried to mix a document checking game and a management game, and neither quite hit right. I can see what the developers were aiming for, but it's not my cup of tea and I probably won't play it more.
