There's just nothing here. Not yet anyway. Comparing it to Stardew Valley or an Elder Scrolls game in the description? With all due respect, no. There's no reason to learn farming or what have you because I can just walk into towns and and take what I like, as though they're villages in Minecraft. As a result I've got oodles of stuff I've looted and some things from a bandit camp where I killed a guy, but no-one will buy any of it so it doesn't much matter. Everyone has a quest for you. Everyone. I'm not sure they work though. I got a quest to deliver linen threads to someone in another town. So I went to this other town and tried to complete the quest, only to find out I'd never been given linen threads to deliver, nor did the person offering me the quest offer to sell me any, which wouldn't have helped anyway since I have zero gold because monsters don't carry any and I can't sell anything. Sometimes I accidentally stab people instead of talking to them. You're always walking around with your weapon out and it's easy to misclick - easy for me anyway. It's just the feel that everything is empty and nothing is really plugged in yet. I mean the idea is great but the best I can say for the implementation is that it is very early access.
Purchased the game because it looked interesting, after 5 hours I got bored. - Enemies are all the same, simple and no challenge.. with my fist from a freshly started character I could kill the elite mob in a cave. Grab the loot and become god mode quite early on. - Lore is there but not grabbing me into it, it's a simple game with a world and evil to be destroyed, feel like it's too short for a main quest type story. - Quests are all the same, towns look the same.. after 2 villages I just quit on the side quests and focussed on main quest / crafting and temples. - Skills are way too easy too level, in this play time almost got 50 weapon skill and gathering.. smithing too 30 in one go out of the 100. The game is still in early access so updates might make it better, but right now I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you love to do the same thing over and over and have a really easy time.
As it stands there's a lot of stuff you COULD do but not a lot of reason to do it. What I mean by that is, there's a many towns with many random npcs to explore and many skills you could train to make better gear but there's nothing challenging enough or not enough to do in general to warrant doing all that. You can enchant gear, use alchemy to make potions, and smith your own gear. All of those skills can be trained to make better crafts. However in the 4 hours I played, I haven't encountered a single enemy that's challenging or situation. I've walked almost the entire overworld and entered a fair amount of dungeons and I have encountered a single enemy that my fire dagger that I looted from a dungeon can't nearly one shot. So that being said there's not a lot of incentive to craft anything because I can already defeat everything easily. Also 95% of enemies I've encountered even have very similar stats. So fighting them is basically the same. I think this game could be great, it just needs to be fleshed out in most aspects of the game. If I play more, it's most likely going to be to speedrun the story quests and be done with it. There wasn't a last boss and the final dungeon/quest was anti-climatic and just kinda lame if I'm being completely honest. It rewards you with an item that does seemingly nothing.
it has a nice atmosphere. the graphics are not bad. but everything else is literally repetitive. from conversqations with different npcs in different towns and the structure of the game and enemies. every little thing is repetitive. and you get bored of it easily. there are no risks, there are no consequences. the mission have a long travel ahead and it becomes plain boring since there arent many things to explore.
I want to start off by saying that my current playtime (9.8 hours) is from one gaming session. This game, so far, has been pretty fun. I'm most likely gonna end up rambling, so I'll just make a pro and con list and add my thoughts at the end. PROS - Quite a few things to do given the current stage of the game - You're rewarded for exploring (new biomes, chests in dungeons, plants you can harvest to start your own farm, ect) - Skill levels and talent tree gives that sweet RPG feel CONS - It does get a bit repetitive after awhile (slash, loot, craft, repeat with little deviation in what you can slash, loot, and craft) - Despite being able to make furniture, you cannot build your own house (you must buy one, which isn't hard, but the housing options are rather small and limited imo) - The towns feel rather bland and don't differ from each other that much THOUGHTS I think this has a lot of potential to become even greater. It feels like it *should* be mainly an MMORPG and I really think the game would do so much better if it was, but I'm not sure how big the development team is so I won't push too much on this. I'm very much looking forward to seeing where this game goes in the next few years. The time I've spent playing this so far has been pretty fun. Obviously, would recommend
This game is essentially The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall for the SNES.
Still rough around the edges and not much content but very addictive and fun! The developer is consistent in the updates and has somewhat of a roadmap or at least the features they want to include in the full release. I highly recommend this game because it seems to be getting better and there is a solid foundation for a bright future for this game. As long as dev. continues to keep up the good work dont see why this game couldnt make a full release its a really great game and what is there is executed well!
its good i like it
Good solid foundation!
Is a good game and look forward to how it ends up. Crafting, alchemy, enchanting, thieving, foraging, armoring and weaponsmithing. Its all here,
