DIG IT! - A Digger Simulator

i like this game

The bad control settings and options are really killing this good low budged sim game. Though, there is a key map on the hud, but the settings are fixed, scatterd over the keyboard and do not really resemble the control arrangements of real machines.

Controller configuration is a nightmare! Nearly impossible to use this game with a simple joystick or two stick controller. Keyboard works but that takes a lot of the immersion away. Please improve the controller setup!

Could have been a great game. This could have been an awesome game that allows you to experience what its like to use some of these big digging machines, but the developers managed to screw up the one thing they really needed to get right: the dirt physics. Somehow it is possible to both create and destroy dirt. This game doesn't really seem to model the dirt volume. It is based on getting the surface of a 2D mesh to the right height by adding or subtracting dirt. However with some of the excavators you can make dirt magically disappear and with the front end loader you can make more dirt appear. It is really frustrating to see your completion percent go DOWN after removing some dirt because the ground evened itself out and ended up at the wrong height. As stated above your completion percent is based on the percentage of the surface that is at the right height, not how much dirt you removed, so you can be really close but really far away. I spent 20 minutes on one mission and was still at 0% at the end.

First impressions: its a cheap digging game from 2014. It is exactly as it seems. The controls are kinda wacky. They definitely arent top tier but i assume real machines arent either (plus you can rebind in the launcher iirc). Graphically and Audio-wise its kinda bad. Not totally bad but it kinda hurts to look at. Was also dissapointed there were no mods for this game. I wouldve expected maps/levels at least
