General Impressions
DIG is a great 2D side-scrolling platforming commuter RPG where your goal is to free the galaxy by raising your pitchfork and rioting against the current state of the different planets. Your average run can net you anywhere between 0-2 hours, and you can easily lower the difficulty of the initial part of the game by digging the planet's natural landscape. This game lets you build yourself to be incredibly over powered between your strength, your ranged damage, and your character's "super" attack. That said, after playing it for about a month, you may find the pool of skills you can get widely slim down to a few as the difficulty (enemy health, damage) raises with each interval. Depending on how overpowered you are really depends on how much time you'd like to spend on idle planets without any missions on them. The more frequently you try to lower your difficulty, you'll find some quirks where the perks or weapons you earn along the way may reappear, which is kind of unfortunate, as there's no way to either stack the perk on top of the other, or have a pool of perks large enough to make the game reward you any more for the boundless amount of digging done. I still haven't been able to find myself a build where I'm shooting lasers like the one found in the introduction video. That said, if I could I'd stick to the easier difficulties. You can get a higher score and boost yourself within the leader boards but there's not much appeal after the first or second win.

This feels like something of a cross between Broforce and Risk of Rain. It's a fuzzy comparison. There's stat progression, equipment, perks, randomly generated levels, mining, jerky movement, a lot of explosions, and a grappling hook. It's also pretty fun. And pretty easy to get a super-powered character that can blow through anything with the weakest weapons -- I beat the game on my first try. I haven't played multiplayer, yet. It would probably be chaotic.

Mahtava cooppi peli. "Procedural generated levels, missions, and loot!" Neljäs läpi peluukerta alkaa neljännellä vaikeustasolla seuraavaksi.
Its a fun little game. Pretty simple, you just dig through levels collecting coins and finding new weapons and equipment. Theres a decent amount in variety of weapons and stuff to unlock, although gameplay is pretty simple and repetitive. I beat it on the 2nd try, and didn't feel a need to go back, as theres a few different bosses and different characters but you unlock them somewhat slowly and it doesnt change gameplay much at all. There's broken builds and stuff but thats the fun of it, doesn't take itself too seriously. 7.5/10
