About
Die in the Dungeon is a turn-based, dice-building roguelite where your dice are your deck
Combine unique abilities, customize your dice faces, and collect powerful relics as you battle your way through a shifting, mysterious dungeon. Don't let your run be a mere roll of the dice, your fate is in your hands!

Choose from four adorable but deadly frog warriors, each featuring a unique playstyle and exclusive starting dice set.
Poison foes, reroll dice, and parry incoming attacks as you battle through the dungeon’s many dangers.

Build every die your way: set its faces, add unique properties, and shape its role in your deck. Every roll is driven by strategy, not just luck!

Play different combinations of dice that buff and interact with each other based on their placement.
By solving the spatial puzzle of where to place each die, you prepare devastating attacks that will crush the dungeon's unwelcoming inhabitants.

🐸Discover 142 unique relics hidden within the dungeon depths.
🐸Unlock and try each of 31 unique dice to find your favorites.
🐸Utilize one of 36 distinct potions during battle to unleash incredible effects your enemies won't see coming.

Good solid game
Cute and quite hard, good puzzly roguelite with many unlocks. I like it but sadly lacks a bit compared to the king of roguelites that is StS 2
The graphics are fantastic, the music is solid, the character designs are cool, but the gameplay is a wee bit tedious. The pacing can be quite slow when you are trying to get the dice right, and doesn't allow for the sort of badass fast paced combos of other games of this sort - more like nervously pressing attack and hoping you didn't screw up the placement of something. In that way, I'd compare it to Wildfrost. The lack of overtly told story also brings the game down a bit. All told, an above-average game that stops a bit short of the best in the genre. I'd have been iffy about it had I bought it at full price, but, for what I got it for, it's well worth it. It also has one of the best names in video game history, so there's that.
If you like Slay The Spire but want something a little less wordy and more simple number based combat, this game is great. After doing a good amount of runs, I feel the game is not that varied in terms of builds but it certainly feels good to play. The character does feel like it gets stronger in a satisfying way but there is only so many ways you can make dice interesting and I fear this game shows you most of what it has in about 4-5 runs. I still recommend it but only if you've already played Slay The Spire and need something to get that same felling, otherwise just buy Slay The Spire.
great game not enough frogs

Especially if this is on sale, I would grab it. I'm not sure on the staying power, this may be more of a 20hr game than a 40+hr game, but I do quite like it. Surely, it's worth the money. The music is especially good, except for that one chef-style boss, and the game is complex in a very fun way. I will say, push past the opener, I don't really like the first character. Both the poison and the parry character are way more fun, and genuinely seem far easier to win with. Just focus on the special events until you rescue the poison character and you'll be good. I do keep unlocking stuff at a steady pace, so maybe the influx of new items and relics or whatever the power-ups are called will keep runs feeling fresh. Overall, it's the same kind of game I like, done in a new way, with great art and music and multiple winning strategies, so I'm happy with my purchase and if you like games like this, I think you will be too, especially given the price. I actually have the music from the second area in my head right now... it's a banger. There's also a lot of really interesting special events, with great flavor text and unique rewards, I'm impressed with the breadth of the content here even if the actual enemies/bosses aren't super varied after a few play-throughs. I will say though, if you get the curse special event, don't keep cursing yourself... there's no reward for taking all the curses as I thought there may be, I just lost the run cus I was super cursed loooool
