If I could give it a 'meh' I would, but I can't recommend it when there are better, less-buggy, easier-to-read rogue-like games with better quality of life features. First off, I absolutely HATE the fonts. I spent too much time double-checking the wording and numbers since there is no UNDO feature. If you click on something and later realize it wasn't what you thought it was.... too bad... learn to read 'PixelatedBlobs.font'. Also, there are some tooltips, but when tiles have a dice on them, you can't see what the special tile is. This is compounded if the dice are locked to a tile and the tile suddenly becomes 'special'... it isn't always obvious. The game has potions but I completed all of the character runs and the final boss with Mango and barely used any potions... opting to increase my dice numbers, use growth/poison/lock and kill elites for more artifacts instead. At $15USD I got my monies worth with a few nights of playtime but I don't see myself continuing for the sake of achievements. If the devs included a standard (easier to read) font and perhaps an undo feature (until players learn the mechanics) as well as more tooltips (especially when dice are on the tiles) I might consider changing this to a 'recommends'... but there really are better card/dice roguelikes that have worked harder to earn you time and money.
Dyed dice die-ing in the dungeon.
PEAK INDIE GAME
Хочется поставить нейстральный отзыв которого нет, интересная механика но очень малая вариация билдов и мало контента
Good game but not fun enough. The play style is basically the same for all characters. And The type of dice (e.g. normal attack, AoE attack, twin attack, etc.) does not heavily affect the players' game experience. All players have to do is to draw stronger dices, discard bad ones, and enhance them with some special effects. During the battle, there is also little strategies that can be used. Basically, I just play defend, attack and enhance dices, according to what dices I draw this turn. And limited by the energy cost, players are barely possible to perform an infinite loop in a single turn, especially compared to other matured rouge-like games. Outside the battle but within one single game, I just keep finding shops and blacksmiths to have my dices upgraded. In some special cases, I can rearrange the points of a dice based on a certain relics I have. The random events are helpful, but they are not 'fun' enough. Outside each game, there is little thing players can do. No extra upgrades available. After unlocking all players and start relics, it becomes a total rougelike game. But it is OK to do a rouge-like but not -lite game. The essential thing is to make each game fun enough, with much more enemy types and combinations to force players to change their strategies in each battle, with much more dices playable to allow players to customize their dice library in each battle, with much more random events that make players feel that each game is a unique experience, rather than a simple copy of the latest finished game, even with another character selected.
Игра прикольная, зацепила, но у нее огромный для меня минус - отсутствие какой либо мотивации играть (ну типо ни сюжета, ни какой то интриги, что цепляла бы). Любите рогалики - в принципе вам зайдет.
slay the spire with gambling
