Dice 'n Goblins is a dungeon-crawler RPG that lets you discover 10 interconnected levels with classic grid-like controls. Walk, run, jump, swim, take stairs, and fall across different floors! Meet a varied cast of inhabitants and maybe make some friends.
Fight with your dice in turn-based combat. Luck is not something you can rely on. Only your wits will lead you to victory.
Video Review https://youtu.be/gySlrz0HfMo
Adorable
Dice 'N Goblins was a great time. The exploration, calming soundtrack, fascinating characters, and plot all enticed me to continue exploring the winding tunnels, traps, and progression to assist Gobby in saving her friends and tribe while plunging further into the deadly dungeon. While quite minimalist in soundtracks and visual design, it gave off a lot of charm.
Conclusion
Well priced, with a variety of play styles available through the usage of weapons and effects related to dice deck building and other features to keep you occupied and involved, as well as the ability to shift things when stuck on an enemy or boss.
Very fun paper style crawler. Worth getting.
Fantastic game! Fun gameplay that allows you to tackle the battles from multiple angles. Cute story and adorable art. Challenging but fair. I fully recommend play and finish this amazing game!
Adorable style, cute story, and fun gameplay. You have to love the old-school gridders! My only gripe so far: rerolling dice often doesn't change the outcome because they just hop a tiny bit up (instead of a full reroll).
Very nice and cute game, especially for a 1st game by a very small team! Congratulations ! Level design never gets overcomplicated, map is well made to help you track ground covered and unexplored parts, which makes exploration interesting. Fights are a very cool feature in this genre and game difficulty is well balanced ! Some times you feel you suddenly became overpowered but this never lasts long and the game fights back to show you that it didn't become too easy. Art style is cute and heartwarming, everything works well. It took me around 20 hours to finish the story, without rushing or facing progression walls, so very decent content! At such a price, this is a game to keep an eye on ! If you're familiar with the genre, the combat system may be a nice thing to try ! If you're not familiar with the genre, it may be just the right amount of dungeon crawling to discover it ! Only downside in french version, some texts could be improved (many typos) but you'll still understand the story.
Dice ’n Goblins is a smart, tightly designed turn-based RPG that blends classic dungeon crawling with a genuinely fun dice-driven combat system. Every fight feels like a little puzzle, where positioning, ability timing, and smart dice management matter far more than grinding or luck. The dice mechanics are the star of the show. Rolls are clear, readable, and give you meaningful choices instead of random frustration. Upgrading dice, combining effects, and adapting your strategy to different enemies keeps combat engaging from start to finish. It’s easy to learn, but there’s real depth if you want to play thoughtfully. The art style is clean and charming, with expressive goblin characters and readable environments that keep the focus on gameplay. Animations are snappy, the UI is intuitive, and the game never wastes your time. Progression feels steady and rewarding without overwhelming the player with systems. What really sells Dice ’n Goblins is its pacing and respect for the player. Encounters are well-balanced, builds feel distinct, and the game encourages experimentation without punishing mistakes. It’s the kind of RPG where every decision feels deliberate. If you enjoy tactical turn-based combat, dice mechanics done right, or compact RPGs with strong design focus, Dice ’n Goblins is an easy recommendation. Simple on the surface, surprisingly deep underneath, and consistently satisfying to play.
The game has neat art and a solid premise, but the combat lacks a little in depth, traversal can be confusing at times, it's easy to not have any idea where you should be going or what you should be doing, the balancing is a little fudgy at points, and there is a semi-persistent bug while traversing the map where the game will softlock and force you to quit the process. It's a good game, but you might be disappointed if you buy the game at the full price point.
nice game, easy and simple to play. Wish it was longer. Overall, extremely happy to have fell on it thanks to a reddit ad. How do i save the human in the last level ?!
I will say this game is fun for what? It is simple and enjoyable I get that TTRPG love of excitement when I roll my dice especially when you start getting a decent amount of dice like when you have 3 or more dice that's when the dice rolls hit my dopamine spike😁 the art style is simple and cute that helps when you roll horror horribly because it helps when the game looks like this so you don't take it super serious. So far, I have not run into any bugs or glitches. The music and sounds are acceptable / ok probably the game's weakest point but it's not terrible. 1. Game play Good. 2. Art style Good. 3. Game quality excellent. 4. Music and sounds acceptable / ok. I do recommend this game if you like 1. Simple turn base RPG's 2. Games with cute art styles. 3. The combat rolling dice that's similar to TTRPG's combat encounters. 4. If you like Indie games. I will say it again. I definitely recommend this game if you like the things I just listed especially for the price point. The quality is really amazing grandchildren I got it on sale so I purchased it for $10.49 but even without the sale the game is only $13.99 for the quality of the game that price is a steel and my personal opinion. Now, to the people that made this game I really do enjoy it and I hope in the future there is either a sequel or a game similar to this game😁👍
