The year is 2052. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. Worst of all, an ages old conspiracy bent on world domination has decided that the time is right to emerge from the shadows and take control.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There's a reason PC Gamer once named this the best PC game of all time...cuz it kind of is. ...not really, but it's definitely in the top ten. Seriously, this game is a masterpiece. Easily one of the best immersive sims ever made (and games in general). Way ahead of its time in terms of story, gameplay and even the music, seriously this is an AMAZING soundtrack. Gimme this over Cyberpunk or the newer DX games any day of the week, I seriously think this game will stand the test of time way better than anything that's come out since in this subgenre.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I had a bunch of friends pestering me to play this for years, saying I would love it, etc because I played games like Morrowind. I kept brushing them off even though they promised it was the best game ever. I eventually played it and yeah... it really is one of the best games ever. What shocked me the most is that it really doesn't have any of those "old game-isms" that you come to expect from playing games from that era, like lack of QoL features and jank. The gameplay 100% holds up today and there aren't even any caveats, which is shocking especially for a stealth game (older games doing stealth was often a disaster). Usually when I recommend other older games, especially similar games like Morrowind, I always have to say "It's an amazing game, BUT... you might not like so-and-so aspect of it, this part of the game hasn't aged well, etc" but honestly I can't think of anything about this game that's not to like. It's just top-notch. The story and characters are compelling. The worlds and environments are immersive and surprisingly vast. The music is seriously amazing. The atmosphere is legendary. The visuals scratch that retro low-poly itch that I have. The choices presented to you in every aspect of gameplay makes you feel like you are making interesting decisions at every turn. What I particularly like about this game is that even though the game promotes stealth, there are some moments where you really just wanna gun down a group of people / blow some stuff up, and not only does the game let you but it's the best way to deal with certain scenarios. You're not punished for getting caught as long as you survive the encounter, and blend back into the night. While I do love stealth games like Metal Gear Solid that discourage direct encounters and especially don't want you using lethal force, I think this game's take on the formula encourages more freedom in choosing how you want to play. However, I would recommend playing on at least hard difficulty so that you're encouraged to interact with each of the game's systems and so you don't end up turning your brain off, auto-piloting, and running and gunning in every area. Trust me, although the direct combat is fun, the game is at its best when you're sneaking around and thinking about your tactics before you engage. And hey, like I said, sometimes the right answer for the situation IS to run and gun for a bit... But you gotta be smart about it. I think everyone should give this game a go. It could change your life!

Deus Ex is what every game strives to be - an experience. It's extremely hard to argue with anyone that would say that this is one of the best games of all time, and for good reason. It's definitely clunky, at times buggy, has dodgy enemy AI and some of its systems aren't as fleshed out as it would be possible if they were the focus (for example comparing its stealth to that of Thief's), but its whole is so much more than the sum of its parts. It's wondrous what PC gaming was capable of when given pure focus.
"And people are obeying? Why? Because the AI can change some codes and turn out the lights?".

Okay so i've been playing this game semi extensively since about 2015 to the point where i know a number of exploits and dumb mechanics to it, i've never actually beaten this game - matter of fact i've mostly only replayed the first 3 to 4 missions ad nauseum and well, i figured hey, i haven't beat this game in ten years, i'm probably not going to beat it this time around, i might as well do my due dilligence and recommend the damn thing. You need to understand that this is a game of great, awe inducing mechanical density, that doesn't necessarily excel at any of the mechanical twists it offers, augmentations are a big selling point, right off the bat you may be fortunate enough to encounter an augmentation canister, of predetermined location and effects, whether or not you come to know its associated skill tree is a matter of prospection; indeed you may very well go on to play a game of deus ex devoid of augs if you don't explore bravely enough, or if you simply choose not to play into this system. Though exciting and a great motivator for progression, supporting a palpable sense of growth throughout the campaign, your satisfaction may vary dramatically upon realizing how situational some of these upgrades can be. With continued tampering of your character's faculties, you'll amass a list of enumerated toggles that, at the rapid expense of your energy will temporarily enable any number of these effects simultaneously. Exciting effects such as lamp, and 'green filter on your screen', or the ever reliable, 'move increasingly larger objects'. All far outdone by the eventual inclusion of an invisibility effect that brings into question whether the whole system holds up or not, it somehow badmouths the game's own sense of fiction before it truly unveils itself before you. Though through numbers and some basic formulas you may form the inkling ideas for what playstyle you'll pursue throughout your campaign, your inventory is the thing that actually instills in you a sense of how you'll play deus ex differently from other players. It's a layout strikingly similar to the one from RE4 actually, where your choice of tools will have to be neatly arranged in a grid. With certain tools occupying far more space than others you must make concessions and decide what stays and what's left out, your insistent reliance of bazookas may lead you to carrying a much smaller arsenal, you could start the game with one idea of how you'll complete your missions throughout the game, and still be able to change your playstyle later on without much friction. Really it's a bag doing the heavy lifting in trying to fit together all the mechanics that struggle to work on their own, the rpg systems, the weird aiming, those silent takedowns that just aren't very reliable, leaving behind corpses too riddled with identical loot to ever let you carry them out of sight, its a fun hybrid mix of gameplay but it all clashes far too often, one system begets another, highlighting eachother's shortcomings. The saving grace for deus ex is its flexibility, you get to be more and more pragmatic with your approaches as you gain clarity of how a typical mission plays out. go and kill everyone, hide in every vent, unlock every secret passage, blow up any entrances you're too tired to lockpick or hack into, all in one, the level layouts are like these 50kg meals that, if very well turn rather formulaic the longer the game goes on for, they never cease to amaze with how much thought goes into them, so brimming with skips, entrances and secrets, that subsequent playthroughs can look and feel very different, its an incredibly aspirational game on a game design perspective despite all of its shortcomings. Writing is applaudable about deus ex. Suppose that it isn't incredible on its own, but it fits incredibly beneath the already crammed soil that every other element draws upon. An interest in politicking and fiction oozes in every spoken piece of dialogue, in any excerpts of history books that you come across, in private conversations, email exchanges and so on. Its a better choice of worldbuilding than the typical lore dumps seen in so many other rpgs, spouting little blurbs of nothing from a gumball machine after every minute action you take is a far cry from what this game does, here though text can vary a lot in form and genre, it soon adjusts its optics into select subjects, and creates a neat relation between speculation and imagination, this tapestry is something that i seem to have thought of repeatedly throughout the years, as more and more events and debates in real life end up resembling those seen in this game's fantasies. I think sometimes, Deus ex's, abrupt shifts in tone from serious meditations about the types of violence lived under complex and flawed systems of governance, to sewer parrots that spew lasers can seem tasteless and chaotic, but i have grown less distant to them over time, i appreciate that despite everything it's a game that likes to dream and entertain dumb senseless questions in spite of its growing concerns about where the world was headed so many years ago.
if you want to play this game properly try deus ex revision, it's free on steam you only need the base game and you good to play, the revision have better graphics just try. for me this deus ex was my childhood game (well i born in 2006) i crack this game when i still a kid, deus ex was my first deus ex and it's the best deus ex game if you focus on the conspiracy theory and this game have somethng like wow this game right about today life like "corporatocracy", like i said just TRY IT
