It's good clean fun destroying polygons that want to destroy you so its a give and take affair. Sometimes you eat the cube sometimes the cubes smash you. Didn't quite hook me but its fun enough in spurts.
Вся игра - уничтожениe кубов, хeйтeрам мaйнкрaфта пойдет
Cool idea but without permanent upgrades rather boring. Would love to see some sorta progress to have reason to play the game besides "looks cool" and "number go up"
Destropolis, developed by Igrek Games and published by Games Incubator and PlayWay S.A., is a top-down shooter that thrusts players into a relentless and chaotic futuristic urban battleground. From the moment you start, the game demands fast reflexes and strategic positioning as you face off against waves of relentless enemies—primarily red, geometrically stylized cubes—that swarm across the cityscape. What immediately distinguishes Destropolis from other shooters is its fully destructible environment, a feature that adds a thrilling sense of impact and freedom. Buildings, barriers, and virtually everything in the urban landscape can be shattered and torn apart, turning the city into a shifting battlefield where cover is temporary and destruction is both weapon and consequence. The core gameplay loop revolves around navigating this dynamic cityscape while combating a variety of enemy types that escalate in difficulty and complexity. Beyond the signature red cubes, you encounter diverse foes such as obelisks, bomb spheres, pyramids, and massive hexagonal bosses, each demanding different tactics. To survive, players wield an extensive arsenal of weapons ranging from shotguns and assault rifles to more exotic tools like missiles, lasers, and nuclear launchers. The variety in weaponry keeps combat fresh and encourages players to experiment with different playstyles, whether they prefer rapid-fire aggression or strategic, high-damage bursts. Beyond guns, Destropolis enriches its gameplay with a robust set of power-ups and skills. With 12 unique power-ups and around 40 skills, players can customize their approach by deploying turrets, activating force fields, or unleashing devastating nuclear explosions. This layered system adds depth, rewarding tactical choices and adaptability, especially as the waves grow fiercer and the city crumbles around you. The balance between managing upgrades and responding to the ever-escalating threats creates a compelling tension that keeps players engaged through successive waves. Visually, the game embraces a minimalist yet effective aesthetic that highlights the action rather than overwhelming the senses. The clean design allows the chaos of explosions, flying debris, and enemy swarms to stand out, while the destructible cityscape transforms visually in response to the player’s rampage. This visual clarity is complemented by a pulsating synthwave soundtrack crafted by LukHash, which melds cyberpunk ambiance with energetic EDM beats. The music dynamically enhances the game’s pacing and atmosphere, making every firefight feel both intense and stylish. Destropolis also offers cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to three players to join forces in local co-op mode. This addition significantly expands the gameplay experience, fostering teamwork as players coordinate their attacks and share power-ups to survive increasingly punishing waves. The cooperative element adds replay value and shifts the dynamics, making strategic positioning and timing even more critical. For those who prefer solo play, the game includes leaderboards that encourage competing for high scores, driving players to refine their skills and strategies for better runs. While the game delivers a thrilling core experience, there are some rough edges that may affect long-term engagement. The procedural spawning of power-ups sometimes places them in hard-to-reach or dangerous spots, which can disrupt momentum and feel frustrating during intense moments. Additionally, despite the variety in enemies and weapons, some players may find the progression loop repetitive after extended play sessions, as the modes and objectives remain somewhat limited. However, these shortcomings are minor compared to the overall fast-paced and satisfying gameplay the title offers. In summary, Destropolis stands out as a high-energy, destructible-environment shooter that combines frantic combat with strategic depth. Its unique blend of fully breakable cityscapes, diverse weaponry, and cooperative gameplay provides a fresh take on the top-down shooter genre. While it may not reinvent every aspect of its gameplay loop, its focus on chaos, destruction, and pulse-pounding action ensures it delivers a rewarding experience for fans of fast-paced shooters looking for something with both style and substance. Whether playing solo or with friends, Destropolis invites players into a crumbling urban warzone where survival depends on quick reflexes, smart upgrades, and a bit of calculated destruction. Rating: 8/10
It cheap, but what you see is really what you get. It's just a high score chaser, the same level all over again. It feels like a demo if you ask me. And I was surprised to see such a small game since it got nominated in 2023 for still bringing updates to an old game. I really really like twin stick shooters, but I don't really see a reason to play this above others. Good news is that it works flawlessly in 3D Vision tho!
It's very simple. Destroy the red blocks before they destroy you. Great mind numbing gaming, easy to use, and you can have quick sessions instead of a major time investment if you want.
Позалипать можно, рекорды повыбивать, заставляет игра попотеть, круто круто
una bomba di gioco, pagato una miseria. ottimo per la partitina su steamdeck.

A really fun and addictive little roguelite. Very easy to understand and get the hold on, yet also extremely difficult and challenging. It even allows for 3 player co-op.
